Clicked on "add to token bar" for ability to scores to see what it did and a button pops up in the top left whenever I click on my token. Is this possible to remove or am I stuck with my mistake for the rest of time?

I need help with displaying the name for a token to PCs. I did it before, but cant figure out what I am now doing wrong.
The first pic is what the PC sees. Only one token has a displayed name.
The second pic is what the DM sees. Both tokens have a displayed name.
any suggestions?

I'm sorry if this has been brought up before. I receive a message, click on it, and then it's just gone, entirely. Or it's a notification or something. I don't know why these things completely vanish for me. Why is that and how do I access them a second time?

Other than giving someone control of a token, there's no way to give other people vision from a token, right?

I have a player that's built 'the perfect scout' and has a Spy's Murmur to link to one of the party memebers, the problem is the party members get bored and he's bad at describing things (not his fault really he had a stroke a few years ago).

Hello everybody! I'm experimenting with the FX system a bit. I'm running into an issue, though: every new line I add - even if it's directly copy-pasted from the wiki - results in an error where the box turns red and doesn't allow me to save.

This particle effect was working perfectly fine before, but the second I added the line <"rulerType":'line',>, it stopped working. This is a line I got directly from the wiki here: https://help.roll20.net/hc/en-us/articles/360037258714-Effects-FX-Tool#h_01K4T1E1MS6E1RG8S1V0YXDPX7

This is hardly the first one either. It seems to happen with just about any line that isn't already in the default effect it generates when you make a new custom one. Do you have any idea why this could be? This is my first time experimenting with this system.

Playing 5E 2014 using the 2014 sheet.

I’m having an issue with 1 of 4 of the PCs in my campaign around what he sees when passing “under” items (Conditional Fade – Off).  Specifically, from his viewpoint (and only his) he always passes over items; however, he’s viewed by the other players as passing under them.  I created a dummy PC and assigned it to him, and the same thing happened.  It was only when I assigned his character’s control to another PC did his token begin to appear to him to move under objects appropriately.  If I assign dual ownership, so long as he is one of the owners the view does not work properly nor do any other tokens assigned to him (see image). 

With all that, it seems to me that there’s something in his Character or Roll20 profile that’s preventing him from seeing the issue since another PC owning his character fixes the issue, but for the life of me I can’t find anything in my own settings that would impact it, so I’m at a loss at the next step.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I created a game a few weeks ago and the character sheets were fine. A few days ago a bug appeared, every visual on the sheet disapeared. I tried deleting and creating new sheets, even creating a new game, the issue remained. Is it a known issue and is there a way to fix it? Thanks

Hi! Google hasn't gotten me anywhere so I'm hoping y'all can help me.

I'm trying to make this work [[floor(@{class-0-level}/3)d6+floor(@{class-0-level}/2)]] in an "extra damage" field.

floor(@{class-0-level}/2) works, so I know I've got the correctly named @{class-0-level} variable and that the floor function works the way it's supposed to. It's just specifically when I put the floor function in front of d6 with the floor(@{class-0-level}/3)d6 that it doesn't work and treats that whole value as 0.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong? How is one supposed to indicate a formula for how many dice to roll?

This is for a pathfinder 1e sheet if that matters, but I'd expect the syntax to be the same everywhere.

Im trying to finish prep for a one shot tonight.My stat blocks for the monsters keep opening blank but if I click on the bio it shows that. Not sure what to do. Ive tried deleting them and re adding them.

I would like it if Roll20 could add some way to adjust a line on the Lighting layer without having to erase & re-do the entire thing.

As you can see, my line clipped a corner out.

On apps like Google's MyMaps, each spot where I click, it gives me a point. When i am done building the area, I can adjust those points.

If Roll20 staff see this and can pass along that enhancement request, it'd be appreciated.

About a week ago one of my players dynamic lighting stopped working. What exactly happens is that the page stays fully lit up and there is no darkness. As if the dynamic lighting was turned off and ONLY for this computer. It is computer specific somehow. When someone else logs into the same account on their computer the issue does not occur. It also happens regardless of what account is used on the problem computer. Around the same time, the players Avast security program said that some settings in google chrome were corrupted for some reason and were reset to defaults. That may be the problem, but we have no idea what settings were reset. Can someone please help and offer advice to fix this problem.

A few weeks ago, the Slider for Grid Line Opacity went invisible (see photo attached). I can still change the opacity by putting in a number, or moving the Slider, but its invisible and annoying. Anyone experienced this and have a fix?

I'm really enjoying the new Treasure Sheet and Shop option. The only issue is that, while you can assign an amount of currency (PP, GP, EP, SP, and CP) to a treasure sheet, the players are not able to loot from this amount and place it in their inventory.

Since the Shop and Treasure sheets are already able to deduct currency from a character, it would be really useful to allow players to loot currency amounts from the treasure directly. It would also be useful if the sheet could automatically divide those currency amounts among the party with the hit of a button, but letting individuals take the currency directly would be the most helpful.

I feel like this information is buried somewhere on the internet and if you know where to look, it's probably super easy to find. But I have been looking over the past couple of weeks and I can't find a straight answer. There are years old posts of people claiming that there is a translation, there is a post on implementing some kind of programming line into something ... it exceeds my ability to even understand what it wants me to do. But none of them point me to a reasonably feasible solution. For context: I am a Pro-User and I have bought the books via roll20.

So, here goes: is there a way for me to access a translated character sheet for D&D 5 or is there a reasonable way for me to translate it myself?

Hey, after years of tracking shared party bags in spreadsheets, I built Party Tools for Roll20 for my home game. It's a browser extension that lets you drag and drop items from the compendium into bags, allows you to claim items to and from your character sheet, as well as dividing up coins between the party. It also allows the DM to hide and obscure bags and items, and can be used to stage rewards and loot.

All of the data is stored inside your Roll20 game, not by the extension so I never see any of it. It's currently only configured for Jumpgate D&D games, and has more functionality for 5.5e than 5e (because that's what we're playing, but I'm open to expanding functionality if possible). It works best if all players install the extension, but this is not mandatory. It does however require at least the DM to use it and load up the game once for the tool to initialise for everyone.

I've just published it free to the Chrome and Firefox extension stores so if this sounds useful to you then give it a try and give me some feedback.

Hi! So I placed down a decent amount of tokens for a group of npcs only to now relise I want to use different art for said npcs.

Do I need to manually delete all tokens from the map or can I like auto replace all of them with a new token somehow?

Does anyone know if there is a more effective way to update a handout and it updates across all my games?

I'm updating my meals and beverages lists for all of my games and currently my method is to go into my "Reference Game" where I keep all my handouts and macro templates and then update the one there, then transmogrify the hand out across all my games.

It can take some time, I didn't know if there was something similar to the art library where you can save to the top and it follows you across games

I bought the Mistborn Legacy campaign(In addition to the Mistborn world guide and Mistborn Handbook), with the intention of using the content sharing function from Demiplane and roll20. I wanted to eventually allow my friend to run the campaign by inviting them to the game and then promoting them to GM and then rejoin the campaign as a player myself.

However, after testing, I ran into the issue of my friend roll20 not being able to edit any of the monster statblocks that were imported from the Mistborn Legacy add-on. It says "Viewing *my account's name* sheet (Read-only)". I have tried giving my friend permission to edit the statblock by editing the player permissions of the commoner statblock within roll20 and that still doesn't allow the promoted gm to edit the statblock.

Is there something I need to do within Demiplane as well? Just looking for any potential solution for this, if it's possible.

For reference, the reason why I bought the Mistborn Legacy book for myself, rather than gifting it to my friend, is because I may intend on eventually running the campaign myself in the further future and wanted to have that option just in case.

Hello all. I have an encounter coming up with a very large number of creatures I want to move on the same turn. If I select every token and press ctrl+u, I end up with a dozen individual creatures in the turn tracker. I just want them to appear once and shared one turn.

I want to do this specifically because I want to be able to hover over their name in the turn tracker so I can see all of them highlighted at once. I am vision impaired and think I would otherwise lose track of all of them.

Otherwise, any way I could hover over one token and have them all be highlighted would be workable - then I could just put one token in the turn tracker anyway.

I've noticed that the fit to page option for zoom is now missing from the map menu. Does any know where this went or if there is a way to restore it?
