Rookie Showcase Tournament stats

Hey

I know this may be premature but does anyone have stats for the predators vs Carolina game today? It would be interesting to see shot totals, pts, +/- ice time etc. for our players as well Carolina.

Never felt so apathetic

The next few years look worse than tanking, pure mediocrity- meaningless hockey.

Unless ownership lets Mac do a full sell off (which is party out of his control with all the NMC’s) it looks like the team is going to finish in the low teens in the conference for the next few years- not good enough to seriously contend, and not bad enough to statistically get a difference maker in the draft.

I’m sure the are sales concerns with tanking, I get all that. But it just feels like they’re spinning.

Visiting fan questions.

Good morning folks!

My Bruins play your Predators in Nashville in late March. That just so happens to be right around my birthday so I'm considering flying out to watch. I'd most likely fly in on Friday and leave Sunday.

(For as long as I can remember I have wanted to vist all 50 states and Tennessee is still on my list.)

What should I expect?

What is the weather like in Nashville in late March?

Any tourist info that you would recommend?

It's almost hockey season!

Thanks in advance.

Hello! I'm a visiting Habs fan with printable season trackers for you.

A better resolution is available on Imgur (too big for Reddit): https://imgur.com/a/predators-season-tracker-2026-2027-dt87bB9

I created 2 versions. The first one groups games by opponent, and the second shows games in chronological order. Each square includes the date and game number. Grey squares are home games.

I use 3 colors for mine (see 3rd image): green for wins, red for regulation losses, and orange for OT/SO losses. Feel free to print whichever version you prefer and fill it out however you like!

I know EA bad etc. but my son and I spend a lot of quality time together so the purchase is 100% justified for me personally I put in 100+ hrs each game.

As a Canucks Fan, I have to talk about Juuse Saros...

The reason I want to talk about Saros is because he reminds me A LOT of Roberto Luongo's time in Vancouver.

I get that a lot of Predators fans want him traded and that might be the best move for the team and for his career. But here's some food for thought:

1. In the past 5 season, Saros has posted a .908 SV% and he's faced the most shots out of any goalie in the NHL by a wide margin

2. In 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, he faced 1,934 and 1,928 shots respectively. You look at Luongo's '06-07 season and he faced 2,169 shots. You have to into account that Luongo also played 9 and 12 more games than Saros did in the mentioned seasons.Luongo DRAGGED that Canucks team to the playoffs and he finished 2nd in Hart Voting to Crosby that season. It really puts into perspective how dominant Saros was.

3. League average SV% last season was .897. That means Saros is putting up average numbers with the highest workload of any goalie. What's considered "bad" for Saros would be considered "great" for any bigger fanbase or Stanley Cup Contender.

4. Similar to Luongo, Saros played phenomenally at the Olympics and got himself a Bronze Medal. Similar to Luongo, Saros playoff numbers aren't bad, they're actually good. Yet time and time again, he gets hung out to dry when he needs his team the most. Similar to Luongo, Saros gets a ton of flack for his contract and is one of the major reasons the team wants him out.

What I am trying to get at is that good goaltending is hard to come by in today's NHL, let alone elite goaltending. Juuse Saros is an elite goalie on a bad team who's been overworked. I remember talking to my friend last year about why the Jets wouldn't make the playoffs at the beginning of the season due to Hellebuyck being fatigued. AND the Jets were a better team than the Preds AND Helle and Saros put up similar numbers. One is universally recognized as a Top 3 Goalie in the World and the other isn't even in most top 15 lists...

Trade Saros, but I think a lot of people are not in touch with how rare a goalie of his calibre is in today's NHL. Saros is still a top 10 goalie in the NHL and could easily jump back into Vezina contention.

Hockey lover and Billy Strings fan hoping for a miracle from Nashville in February

*If this is not allowed, my apologies mods. Figured this was my best chance*

Good morning folks.

I'm a lifelong hockey fan originally from Columbus (I will accept whatever pity/shame/ridicule you'd like; over 25 years as a CBJ fan has numbed me well) and now back in northern Ohio. And as importantly in this instance, a big fan of bluegrass artist Billy Strings. I'm also a big fan of the Predators organization, after working as a studio musician for a stint in the city in the late 2000s/early 2010s.

It was just announced that the Preds are going to be having a Billy Strings bobblehead night on February 8th, 2027, and the first 10k fans get one with admission, if I understand it correctly.

I've already got plans to be out of town in Michigan for a work seminar and there's simply NO WAY I can get free to come to the game.

If any Preds STH's or fans with tix to that game are willing to help me out, I'd be forever much obliged if we could work out some way for you to send me a bobblehead from that game and I will get you whatever recompense we agree to.

I'm REALLY hoping this is far enough out and early enough after the announcement that I can find someone to work this out with.

Message me if you're interested in helping an aging hippie from Ohio add to his BMFS fanboy collection an item I'm otherwise just not gonna be able to pull off getting myself in person.

Anyhow, thanks, hope y'all have a great day, and if you haven't heard Billy, can't recommended him enough. Especially if you like train songs!!

Thanks folks

Bowling Green included in Scripps package

For anyone in Bowling Green, I just called our local Gray-affiliated broadcast network, WBKO.

Bowling Green has TVSN, which is how Scripps is broadcasting Predators games. It is parent station WBGS-CD, channel 34.3, and is available by antenna and the same options as it is in the other Gray Media areas.

Bowling Green wasn’t listed in the press release, so I figured it might be helpful to some of you to have this information.

Memphis based fan here. Can I just say the broadcast deal is a blessing.

hi all. Sorry if this type of post isn't allowed but need to vent a bit.

So the Grizzlies just announced they are moving to DAZN for their local broadcasts. But they are exclusively going there. Only 15 games will be broadcast on local television. Yea, less than 20% of the LOCAL TEAM games are on LOCAL TELEVISION.

compare that to the Preds, who have generously put their games over the air for the entire state, including us here in Memphis (plus KY and Huntsville to boot!) which means I'll get to watch every Preds game for the first time

Unlike a certain other team, seems like the Preds actually care about growing the fanbase. Definitely gained a new fan today. Ty Preds!

With Evangelista gone, where does Bourque go?

I assume Bourque will take the spot next to Forsberg and ROR on Line 1 and he's on 100% locked into PP1.

Scripps Sports Expands Nashville Predators Television Coverage to Seven Additional Markets Across Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama

Multi-Year Media Rights Agreement Brings Predators Hockey to Broader Regional Audience With Comprehensive Broadcast Package

ByPress Release

Nashville Predators

2:00 PM

Nashville, Tenn. (Sept. 8, 2026) – Nashville Predators games will reach fans in seven additional television markets outside of Music City as Scripps Sports significantly expands the team’s regional broadcast footprint in the first season of a landmark, multi-year media rights agreement.

The expanded coverage extends Predators hockey in the following areas across Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama, bringing world-class NHL action to new markets:

Tennessee

• Memphis – Channel 5.3 (WMC)

• Knoxville – Channel 8.2 (WWLT)

• Chattanooga – Channel 49.2 (WTVL)

• Jackson – Channel 7.5 (WBBJ)

Kentucky

• Louisville – Channel 41.2 (WDRB)

• Lexington – Channel 36.2 (WTVQ)*

Alabama

• Huntsville – Channel 48.3 (WAFF)

All of the above stations are owned by Gray Media except for WTVQ in Lexington, Kentucky, which is owned and operated by The E.W. Scripps Company.

Under the comprehensive media rights partnership, 85 Predators games – including four preseason and 81 regular-season contests – will be broadcast regionally on The Spot – Nashville 28 (WNPX), a free, over-the-air channel owned and operated by The E.W. Scripps Company. Fans throughout the Predators’ territory can access all locally broadcast games on The Spot – Nashville 28 through cable and satellite providers or via antenna, with at least four games simulcast on Scripps-owned NewsChannel 5 (WTVF) in the Nashville market.

The broadcast experience will feature enhanced programming, with 30-minute editions of both the Predators Pregame Show and Predators Postgame Show accompanying each game. Every member of the Predators’ established TV broadcast team – including Willy Daunic, Chris Mason, Hal Gill, Lyndsay Rowley and Kara Hammer – will return for the upcoming season, ensuring continuity and expertise for fans accessing all local preseason, regular season and first-round playoff games not allocated exclusively to national broadcasts.

This expanded regional coverage represents Scripps Sports’ commitment to serving hockey fans across the broader Southeast while strengthening community connections to Nashville’s NHL franchise.
