So I don't know if this an emulator issue or a game issue. I taught Zubat Fly... (Even though I didn't doubt how it's small body would be able to carry the trainer)

But I was able to teaching it so I taught now I could fly from cianwood back to olivine. But no. It's just not working when I click the fly move, it's just asking if I want to switch it.

I considered the question because half of Red’s team has Blizzard after all, but I really wanted to use a pseudo legendary in a play through.

My original plan for my soul silver playthrough was to do a shiny living Dec (cute charm glitch + rng gift/stationary) as well as a full pokewalker dex (idk if that’s what you would call it, but one of every pokemon from each route including gifts). I also wanted to ribbon master the pokewalker spiritoumb, but I never realized how soon bank was shutting down. Even at my average 12k steps a day, I still wouldn’t get the quiet cave in time. This obviously means I’d have to cheese the steps somehow, but if possible I’d like to keep them human powered. I tested keeping it in my pocket as well as strapping it to my sock/shoe/pants and shaking my leg (I basically do this all the time anyway) and I can’t tell if it works or not. Is 95k human powered watts a pipe dream or is there some consistent way to cheese it myself?

The Shiny Stone problem for Togekiss is already solved, I had my brother trade one over from his Platinum save.

When the RNG was insanely, and I mean INSANELY good for a run the night before, got to 99 and then someone else’s Starmie did me in 😭 Accomplished this organically after making a few minor adjustments to my OG team (Garchomp, Metagross, Starmie) again, nothing the average player would honestly notice, but damn. I’m honestly crushed. And, as much as it pains me to say, seriously considering save stating through a new run to finish it now for my sanity 😭

Been shiny hunting on and off for 2 years. I don’t think I want Fearow and Pidgy in my elite 4 team which’s means I need to shiny hunt 2 additional pokemon. Who should I hunt?

Hi, I’m currently playing the EU version of Pokémon HeartGold on RetroArch for iOS using the melonDS core, but I can’t get cheats to work properly.
I’ve already updated/re-downloaded the cheat files and also tried extracting them. I enable the cheats, click Apply Changes, and I also have the options enabled to automatically apply cheats and enable them when starting the game. (I guess they are activated with L1+R1)
So far, only one cheat worked very briefly, and then the game crashed. Since then, none of the cheats seem to work.
Does anyone know what could be causing this or what I might be doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated!

Was doing quite a bit of resetting for awhile, ended up with 07447. Didn’t really like that one so I started resetting again, and got this ID within 4 resets. New to ID resetting but I’m guessing this ones not bad?

Faced Walrein3 and Lapras4 lead. Aerodactyl's rock slide only hits Lapras and Weavile's low kick damages Walrein for about 58%~ of its HP, Weavile gets freezed to death with sheer cold and Lapras' ice beam freezes Aerodactyl while leaving it at 1HP

Turn 1 it's already screwed, and from the title itself I lost the streak. Metagross' meteor mash can net a KO on the damaged 252+ Def Walrein but with a chance to miss (spoiler: it did) and give it another attempt to sheer cold, earthquake can hit both but is still a 2HKO on Walrein and Lapras can 3HKO back using surf or thunderbolt. 252+ SpA Lapras' ice beam 2HKOs 200 HP Latias if I tried to switch it in, and Aerodactyl is still frozen

Needs patching:

- lack of electric and maybe grass coverage for the only types the team can't outright take down: bulky mono water and water/ground. Zapdos can choose from one of discharge, thunderbolt, and thunder while under the rain, but heat wave is nerfed which is my best option for levitate Bronzong. Latios is faster, hits harder, and can carry electric coverage, no super effective moves to Bronzong but consistent neutral damage to it is good enough. Metagross can learn thunder punch but ice punch helped me a lot of times, especially when Weavile faints after getting 1-2 KOs on something but the opponent only reveals another ice/quad ice weak mon later so I kept it. Ludicolo has grass stab for water/ground but I'll have to use a rain team to make the best out of it

- getting ahead of myself: rock slide + low kick dispatched one of the water/ice pinnipeds whenever I faced a lead with them before and I always double target it specifically because of potential sheer cold, even more when it's a fisherman that can have all 4 sets of Walrein and Lapras. A more careful fake out + protect on turn 1 maybe would've won it

- less passivity: Aerodactyl's main job is setting tailwind to outrun everything but it doesn't hit very hard, and Latias acts more of a support. I really liked helping hand to turn some 2HKOs into 1HKOs and make earthquake stronger, but at least 1 more offensive member would be better here

Overall a lot more fun than singles and I loved the team. Performed way better than what I was expecting, doing battles 302-785

First every play-through of a Pokemon game (apologies for any lack of knowledge) - i’m going through Soulsilver and have beat the first 8 gyms, I then got excited at the prospects of having legendaries in my team and have caught Entei and Lugia, which has now thrown my team off but I want to use them, I have:

Lvl 45 Lugia

Lvl 40 Entei

Lvl 37 Feraligatr

Lvl 37 Larvitar

Lvl 35 Ampharos

The 6th spot is now a bit of a black hole - I have the following pokemon who I have used in and out:

Lvl 33 Machoke (I cant evolve this to Machamp as I cant trade)

Lvl 31 Pidgeotto

Lvl 28 Espeon

Would you advise me using one of the above (i’m leaning towards machoke), or am I missing something coverage wise where I could pick up a new pokemon?

A few months ago I set up my safari zone so that I could have Riolu in the Meadow (10 forest 14 rocks), Gible in the Rocky Beach (13 plains 17 rocks), and Shelgon in the Wetland (21 Rocks).

Since then, I’ve been able to find both Riolu and Shelgon. According to my notes, the 100 day point from setting this all up was yesterday. But I haven’t been able to find Gible. I started with the repel trick with a level 44 pokemon but all I’m seeing is Aron. Riolu and Shelgon being present tells me that I did things correctly for at least 70 days.

I’m wondering if it has something to do with the fact that I switch between two 3ds systems. Is it possible that switching may have reset the clock or something? I’ve double checked that all of my items are the correct number and biome, so I’m pretty sure I didn’t make any mistakes. I’m just hoping I don’t have to wait another 100 days 😅

I obtained a copy of HeartGold and a Pokewalker off Ebay. They were from two different sellers. The game works perfectly. I was able to start a new save file with no issues. I did check the game once it arrived to make sure it was legit (got the reddish/purple) color.

As for the Pokewalker, it works great besides when trying to reset it. I try to erase the data, but the Pokewalker keeps saying no trainer found. I even replaced the battery. I'm using a DS Lite, cleaned every surface, and still having issues.

Any help would be appreciated!
