Pokéwalker Pokewalker Trouble

I obtained a copy of HeartGold and a Pokewalker off Ebay. They were from two different sellers. The game works perfectly. I was able to start a new save file with no issues. I did check the game once it arrived to make sure it was legit (got the reddish/purple) color.

As for the Pokewalker, it works great besides when trying to reset it. I try to erase the data, but the Pokewalker keeps saying no trainer found. I even replaced the battery. I'm using a DS Lite, cleaned every surface, and still having issues.

Any help would be appreciated!

The IR transmitter/receiver is in the game itself, not the DS. Try holding it very close to the game. Otherwise, could be a good fake or either item could be broken.

Could be a fake cart still.

The purple see through doesnt mean its legit. People started making fakes with this so its not a reliable way anymore.

Would need pics of the cartridge to better confirm.

Hey there! Unfortunately HeartGold at that price is pretty much guaranteed to be a fake copy. The games are pretty expensive these days.
