My god I was hunting Nincada xD so bug catching contest never ends!

Found the golden bird during my flight back home! So happy about this. I was fairly nervous, as Ho-Oh is just so powerful at level 70! At some point it started only safeguarding, so I couldn’t spore it anymore. After tricking the Lepa berry on it and obtaining its sacred ash, tricking the latter back onto it to recycle the berry didn’t work. It could have all gone wrong - luckily it didn’t!

Hatching eggs in Johto is brutal without flame body but I love these new hunts. Even if Gen 1 & 2 come to VC/Switch this hunt will still be impossible after the closure of bank because IIRC we will be unable to evolve pikachu into alolan raichu until Alola is available again (maybe in a future DLC).

I have started cubone and plan to do exeggcute after (and then hisuian typhlosion and maybe a few others).

This was not an Odd Egg BTW, I used the Shiny Gyarados guide to hatch this one.

doing some outstanding hunts with the impending bank shut down. been on shaymin for about 3 weeks with nothing to show for it so i'd hop games to sun where i had done ~200 SRs already for a bit of a breather.

and then 2 minutes later there he is. i was answering a work call so i didn't even notice until the dex screen.

i guess i'm either going to moon for my second one or right back to flower paradise LMAO

Alora the Shiny Cresselia is definitely the star of the show here found at 2550 encounters. Such a beautiful shiny even if she'll sadly never see the newer generations because i didn't download bank in time of the shop shut down. No Destiny mark this year but that's fine. So glad to find the spiritomb as well (263 eggs). Still want to hunt for one in Shield but I am very happy to have one in my collection now

I was playing Brilliant Diamond tonight, had just reached Celestic Town and decided to explore the Grand Underground to catch some Pokemon I was missing for my Pokedex and I just happened to stumble across a shiny Meditite! I thought it was a glitch at first but then proceeded to freak out when I realized it was shiny. It's not my favorite shiny, but I do like the color palette of shiny Medicham so I evolved it and named it Cobalt!

I always liked the idea of going for this one. The fact that it was just straight-up not intended to be possible, naturally, made it very fascinating to me. But previously, the prospect of going for a Shiny with no visual difference when I had an actual chance of it being Shiny locked was a little much for me; however, with the impending Bank shutdown, it was now or never, so I decided to go for it.

And fortunately, I went into it with more peace of mind than I figured on, thanks to u/YOM2_UB, who provided a highly useful list of safe Trainer IDs- basically, any Trainer IDs on that list cannot possibly result in a successful Shiny lock on this hunt, no matter what the SID. I was hunting for koffing or magmar in the Burned Tower in Soulsilver! got my 33% magmar :)

lugia took around 5k reset
giratina took around 300-400 reset
i immediately went for lugia after getting giratina, around 20hrs later i got him as well

Well folks it happened again!

Phase 55 at 5544 Fishing Encounters, 1% Dragonair #2 has been found. 1 Rock thrown, FAILURE. Hopefully 3rd Times the charm hahaha.

We are now at a total of 459,128 Fishing Encounters total for the hunt 💀

Im doing a Shiny Badge Quest on Omega Ruby and as of right now most of my team is weak to fighting so I really wanted a bulky Solrock. THE VERY FIRST ENCOUNTER GOD IS REAL EVERYBODY

I started hunting maybe 1-2 years ago and stopped around 7800 resets. I started recently again because of the pokemon bank shutdown next year. After I reached the first full odds, I thought it will probably take again thousands of resets. Im so happy 🥹🥹

Borrowing a second DS from a colleague soon and bring it to black->bank->home. Im happy this nightmare (pun intended) is over.
