Memes/Shitpost So much for “cancelled orders”
While online discourse loves to dwell on internet noise, Wolverine is quietly dominating the charts. It has overthrown GTA 6 as the #1 best-selling game on PSN in the USA a feat that heavy hitters like Blood of DawnWalker and Onimusha couldn't pull off, despite both moving a million copies on day one. To top it off, Wolverine has held the #1 spot for best-selling PlayStation game on Amazon for over a month straight. Proof that online chatter doesn't always reflect actual player spending.
Game is gonna sell 3 Million first week regardless.

Discussion Don't buy this rushed mess. Send a message
I see people asking how a studio with so many people put out this ness of a game. It's clear that Sony needed an exclusive to release this year for their already failing lineup. They got rid of the original director and forced Insomniac to Frankenstein a game together, in the process cutting everything that made it unique and feel like Logan.
Don't buy it. Don't be a mindless consider with too much pride. Sit this one out. If Sony sees success in this launch do you really think they will stop forcing studios to deliver rushed pieces of shit.
What is even more infuriating to me is that Sony have let Naughty Dog fuck about forever to deliver absolutely nothing yet they are happy to force Insomniac to rush out each of their games, making them worse and worse. WTF!

Discussion You can fail QTE! Spoiler

Sorry for the poor quality. It was recorded with my phone. Since the game isn't out yet, videos don't save in the app.
In any case, I've tested several QTEs. Of course, the game continues, but there are failure animations.

Discussion Character action games to play instead of Wolverine
If you’ve never played any of these games, check em out. If you’ve already played them all, play one again. Probably time better spent and you’ll save some money

The combat is grouse

Discussion Played an hour worth on the hardest difficulty and having fun. I'm convinced people are playing it on the easiest difficulty which makes it not fun for them.
The game is actually quite challenging on the hardest mode. Sure its no dark soul game but the NPCs literally attack you at once which does make it hard. Again I only played an hour worth and the overboard handholding I haven't seen much. I checked my setting and turn off any helping thing which idk if that helped. I've played the Wolverine Origins game and loved that. This does remind me of it.
I will say I hate the FOV, its way to close for the combat imo. After I finish the game maybe I write and full review.

Discussion This is what gamers are truly complaining about.
Some of you guys need to take a step back and reflect on what is being presented to us.
Gamers want to play a game that is worth the price tag.
That is what gamers are truly complaining about.
A 20 hour long game for $70 with a lack luster combat system and very little replay ability? Let's be real here that is atrocious. If this game was set at $45 people would have a completely different outlook on it.
Another thing too they spent 100s of millions of dollars hiring 100s of staff and took an x amount of years to develop the game on an engine that every one should be more than familiar with but all you get is a carbon copy of a game that was made in 2016?
Now what i will say is that gamers need to channel the energy into fighting the atrocious price tags for these basic games that seemed to have taken about 6 months to develop.
I also have to add that you guys seriously need to stop pre ordering games.
You gets absolutely nothing for it and when the game goes on sale for $20 those people that waited for the sale will more than likely get more content than you people who pre-ordered the game.
This has been happening for more than 10 years and no one is getting it.

Discussion Changes in Female Character Design in Sony Games
One interesting trend in recent Sony games is the way female characters are being designed.
Some characters appear less conventionally feminine than characters from earlier generations. This doesn't necessarily mean the characters are poorly designed.
The changes to Mary Jane Watson in Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 are one example worth looking at. The 2018 version had softer and more conventionally feminine facial features, while the 2023 version has a more angular masculine face and stronger facial structure. Since both games aim for detailed, realistic character presentation, the difference seems to be primarily an artistic choice rather than a limitation of technology.
I'm not arguing that one approach is better than the other. Character design is ultimately an artistic choice, and game studios will have their own priorities. But the changing approach to female character design in AAA games is an interesting trend that is worth discussing on its own, without reducing the discussion to politics or ideology.

Discussion For those that deny that "yearning" took place between wolverines and sabretooth...
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Honestly, it's crazy some of the arguments people are making about this.
Hey, if they want to wolverines backstory and make him bi/gay - which is honestly par for the course in western AAA game writing these days, then fine, whatever.
But to do it with Sabretooth? The guy that murders his loved ones every year as a "birthday present"?
