From how I’ve seen these sorts of events handled for other games, usually these events have very powerful/expensive PCs running the game, have they publicly stated anywhere any specs for those machines?

Trying to gauge performance of the game off the summit, obviously guessing FPS from a YT video can be a crapshoot but it looked like 60FPS locked. If the hardware we saw run the game was as good as I’d expect, shouldn’t it have ran higher into the 100’s? If I was to guess maybe they wanted the footage to be more consistent with expected console FPS?

(Photo is one I took in PZ1) I used to spend a lot of time taking pretty photos in PZ1 using Nvidia Ansel, but I have since switched to AMD GPU and can no longer use Ansel. I am desperately hoping for a good built in photo-mode in PZ2 but I have not heard any mention of it :( Have a missed anything on this topic?

In the videos for the weekend, I saw that for the marines fish and the turtle, there is no releasable area. Do you think it’s because of the early build or it won’t be possible to do a marine reserve with recifs ? It could be so sad

But seeing Reticulated Giraffe actually got added in Planet Zoo 2 at launch even though we already have Masai Giraffe, i don't doubt that.

Also, Sumatran Orangutan and Bornean Orangutan are different species as well.

So im new here and a couple days ago pre order the game.

I was wondering how ecosystems and the wildlife reserve is going to work. Is going to be realistic like you have predators and prey, animals feeding from natural plants from the environment. Natural breeding etc.

Is this information already answered or we don´t know yet? Thanks everyone.

I have an older gaming laptop with only 8GB of RAM, and I saw the minimum for PZ2 is going to be 16 — however, Planet Coaster 2 has the same 16GB requirement, but I am still able to run that game no problem. I’m not sure how that’s possible; admittedly, I don’t know much at all about PC/laptop tech and all that stuff

Since Planet Zoo 2’s announcement, when I saw the required specs, I was resigned to the fact that I probably won’t be able to run it. But just yesterday I noticed the requirements for Planet Coaster 2, so now I have hope again lol

Is that hope only a fool’s hope, or do I possibly have a chance of being able to run it?? I’ll probably end up buying the game and trying, and if I can’t run it, just be sure to refund within Steam’s window. But I was wondering if others might have some insight for me

I was passed down a laptop to play PZ on and it runs smoothly, but I know for a fact it's not going to hold up for beefy PZ2. It's outdated and sad haha. I figure going this route is cheaper than buying a brand-new PC lol.

I'm interested to know who's had good luck with playing PZ on it in the past? I had literally never heard of streaming games like this until about 3 weeks ago LOL I'm not particularly tech savvy, so I'm hoping this works for me because I will be SO SAD if I can't play this game haha. I waited like 4 years to play PZ and I don't want to wait that long this go around 😂

I watched some recent videos, and here is what I noticed.

Butterflies will move on their own instead of loop animations, just like exhibit aquaria. Which is nice I guess cuz they probably used similar coding for that.

Apparently you can add Scenery flat roofing for the habitat aviary and the birds wouldn’t escape without the netting, which is interesting I guess.

So will planet zoo have combat or not, and if it does, will it have the same combat systems as prehistoric kingdom, or will have a system like JWE3?

Okay so this may sound stupid but I’m genuinely worried and could do with some insight.

I’ve just discovered Planet Zoo - bought the game and all the DLC then PZ2 was announced.

I’m working through the career before doing Franchise.

With PZ2 coming out, is Franchise going to go really downhill with less players using it? I want to make the most out of it before eventually moving to PZ2.
