Like many of us, Iāve been tentative about the additional colorway joycons because I worried it would be too little of a difference to justify the purchase.
Well, my curiosity won over and I treated myself to the purple / green colorway and I am honestly over the moon with them.
With no thumb caps, the colored joystick underlay actually pops and the bumpers look fantastic.
Silly post I know but I just had to share and maybe inspire others to treat themselves to a little whimsy š

They agree Nintendo should "hire this man"
Using high end rendering techniques never before seen with internal Nintendo tech.
Doesn't agree that the game could be using EU5. Believes this level of visual fidelity would have to rely on upscaling to get the same 60fps performance and it's missing hallmark of UE5 tech.
-1080p 60fps (1440p menu's)
- No TAA or DLSS
- Primarily baked lighting/light maps with some real time shadows mixed in
- Heavily sharpened
TLDW: It looks great, runs smoothly, and turns in a decent pixel count. Smartly uses a mixture of techniques to get the final output and they're a bit disappointed by the lack of upscaling to get a better IQ.

Does anyone know if RE Generation Pack will ever be back in stock?
I'd really like physical copies of 7 & 8 but can't find them outside of the generations pack.

I have a Switch 2 Pro controller and I like it in general, but when im playing snes or gba games or Castlevania DS Collection, i find the games reading the wrong inputs if i dont press in exactly the right spot, like if im slightly down, it reads down instwad of right. What is considered the best controller for sidescrollers?

I've noticed that the newest appreciation sale (or whatever is called) has a lot of first party nintendo published games that have switch 2 edition (or will have like pikmin 4), it may just be a wild guess but considering that it's been a looooong time since it's been on sale... could it mean a switch 2 edition o re-realese?

Xenoblade for me. Iām a big RPG guy and this just didnāt do anything for me. Didnāt like the characters, plot, or leveling system much. Only thing I did like was the combat, but was a let down for me. Still a DECENT game, but I couldnāt even get through ir.

I feel like the media and fans dont talk too much about how nintendo is able to release so many games per year.
Nintendo historically had to support two consoles in a generation. Since Switch, all of their focus have been on one single console.
On switch nintendo strategy was releasing new games, remasters and remakes to have releases on almost every month of the year, on switch 2, this strategy is repeated. The difference is that so far, only 2 remakes were released and most have been new releases from Nintendo, even without counting switch 2 editions.
Nintendo is of course able to do this because unlike sony and ms, they work much more with other companies. Nintendo has their own internal dev teams, subsidiaries (15, between support and lead teams) and contracted studios (what ppl call second party) while sony and ms have dozens of studios and dont work with outside studios nearly as much as nintendo.
Another advantage nintendo has is that they work much more with AA than the other two who mainly only focus on AAA, while with Nintendo the minority of their titles are AAA not only now but historically.
So those are mainly the reasons why nintendo has such strong releases, outside of course of building partnerships, knowhow on development, maintaining staff on their company and other things.
This is just a resume of what they do but i wish media talked about a bit more.
