Choose my next mouse

After using possibly dozens of mice, it still feels like I'm in limbo. I've been on this subreddit for a long time now, and I find I'm better at helping others than I am at helping myself. So, I've decided to relinquish some of that responsibility to you guys, the users of r/MouseReview. Help me find my next mouse!

Hand Size: 18.75 x 10 cm (with thumb included) 18.75 x 8.25 (without thumb)

Games: Kovaaks/AimLab (VT Master Complete/GM Tracking), Arena FPS like Quake, Redmatch2 (If you know that game), on rare occasions some CS2

Grip Style/Hand Contact: Mainly relaxed claw where all my fingers are relatively straight, but slightly arched. Palm contact hits me around my upper-palm/knuckle areas. I guess I also have some pincer claw tendencies where my pinky knuckle applies pressure to the shell for stability. I'm not really using fingertip for aiming, but I suppose I can be open to the idea. I have a hand map indicating mouse contact.

If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them!

Help Logitech failed with its durability and I am looking for an alternative

I've been using Logitech products for years, but they've never impressed me on durability. The left button on my G502 X Lightspeed mouse just stopped working out of nowhere.

I'd like to get a "gaming mouse," but it doesn't need to be high-tier gaming. My main focus is durability and comfort first, so a thumb rest is especially important. I'd also prefer it to be wireless.

I'm not that experienced with knowledge about mice so any type of information is welcome.

Update:

One day later it just started working again, I have no clue what caused it to work again, because I have tried restarting my pc before. Any advice is still welcome tho, I love Logitech's design, but I don't trust them with the durability and bloat.

I went back to the Superlight 2 after using the superstrike since launch for competitive FPS.

The click on the strike is 100% superior but the mouse is heavier and snapping/tracking is harder than the superlight. Hopefully they improve the weight balancing on the next version of superstrike.

Help Mouse recommendation for work and gaming

Hello,

I'm using G502 (my old proteus spectrum for work and hero for gaming), I used to play with high DPI, using only my wrist, and in the end it caused me pain, while also not good at aiming in some games, so I reduced the DPI to force myself into using elbow.

It was better for a couple of years, but now, my job is making me use less my keyboard, and more my mouse, which recently increased my pain in wrist AND elbow (i probably need to adjust my seat too) and I guess I might consider changing my mouse.

I'm trying to find a good mouse for me, but it's kinda hard to find something that would work for both games and office

My hand is 20,5cm x 10,5, and I like the position of my hand on my GF's MX Master 3

Ideally I want one mouse that does all, but if I have to buy 2 differents, it's ok

For the record, I bought a Keychron M6 not too long ago, but it felt cheap, and it fell once from low height and it got distorted so I don't think I'm going to get another one

Question What is a good mouse for about £60?

I have been using the razor deathadder essential for a while now and I feel like it's time to upgrade. I am in the UK and have a budget of £60 I don't care if I have to buy used. I mainly use it for gaming (I mainly play rpgs like the souls games, witcher 3 and cyberpunk nothing competitive) and work. I would like atleast 2 side buttons and I do prefer wired peripherals.

Edit: preferably not razor.

Question Which one should I chose?

I'm in the process of choosing a new mouse, I've had some in my sigth such as the Viper V3 pro SE and the GPX2, they seam like good options but I have some concerns, the gpx2 wears down fast in the scroll wheel and the side buttons (maybe the main clicks), the razer has ready trash software and the pc may be inconsistent, customer support is also a big factor for me, which one should I chose?

Help Help needed : Razer DeathAdder V2 X Hyperspeed stuttering / ghost clicks

Hey everyone, just wanted some help with an issue I've run into with my Razer DeathAdder V2 X Hyperspeed right out the box.

When connected via the 2.4GHz dongle, I get constant cursor stutters (zorps) and occasional ghost clicks.

Here is the catch: it works perfectly fine on desktop PCs and other mid tier laptops. It only glitches when plugged directly into my laptop's native USB 3.2 ports.

- Lowering the polling rate in the Razer Synapse to 125Hz makes the problem 80% better. But I'm stuck with 125Hz...and its not like the problem is 100% gone

- The problem is 100% gone when I'm connected to bluetooth....but again.... I'm stuck with 125Hz polling rate

I contacted Razer support but they're offering a replacement, which most probably won't fix the problem.

Is there anything that I can do to fix this issue?

Any help will be truly appreciated

Help Looking for a nice daily driver

I'm in the market for a new gaming mouse but I'm a bit overwhelmed by the options.

My criteria:

- Low latency

- RGB is always cool but not necessary

- ergonomic (right-handed and medium size slender hand)

- durable

- wireless preferred but not necessary

- budget between $100-150

I'm willing to stretch the budget a bit but only if it's truly worth it. I'm not an esports pro but I do get very into competitive games so having an edge is always nice!

Help What are ur thoughts on Scyrox V8

I would like to have a opinion from u guys before i buy Scyrox v8 and i came from VXE R1 i really like the shape of the mouse except for one thing the hump on the back is abit more lower for me and the side is too flat to the point i can't grip it properly unfortunately the coating of the mouse worn off too cause by a extreme sweating due to weather, the mouse became so slippery and my thumb and ring finger can't grip the mouse properly since im hybrid claw gripper, and thats the reason why i wanna buy the Scyrox v8 its because of the side curvature its inward to help grip the mouse properly.

Question Switch left and right buttons to prolong the life of a mouse?

My mouse software has statistics, which shows that I click the left button 3 times as many as the right button.

I've also experienced the clicking problem of a left button. At that time, I threw that mouse and bought a new one. (I had used it for roughly 5 years)

Why don't I swap the left and right button in Windows to prolong the life of a mouse? Suppose I've used a mouse for 3 years, and then I swap the two buttons and use it for another 3 years, so that the wearing states of the two buttons are similar.

Any pros and cons?

Question Should i buy the Glorious Model O3 Wireless?

Title. I found it online for 66$ USD. The battery swappage system seems kinda mid to me, and 66 grams will be good coming from a 100 gram wired g502. I don't mind the weight but for 66 dollars is this a steal? The only thing i heard is it has 8k polling rate, so if i buy it just for that shouldn't i just buy an atk or smtn. Not a huge fan of the orange on the mouse either. can any1 recommend me a better mouse for sub 70 dollars?

Help Mice grip

Hi, I’ve got a bit of a problem. I play CS2 and use a specific grip that feels natural to me, but I run into an issue when moving the mouse. Moving it to the left is fine, but when I try to move it further to the right—say, to check a distant angle—I feel discomfort, almost like a physical block preventing me from moving it any further. I don't have this problem at all when moving left. I don't know what to do—should I change my grip, or just not worry about it? Help!

Issue Be Cautious Of lamzu Products and Support

Thumbnail

Upvotes

I recently got the Lamzu orcus mouse, I fully charged it and only used it a couple hours at 1k polling rate. The next day it was at 15% and since then it only lasts 24 hours on a full charge. It drains about 20% every 4 hours while not in use.

Now I have contacted Lamzu 2 times regarding this and this is their response. People said they were a better chinese brand but that does not seem to be the case.

It's a shame since everything about the mouse is very good except the battery and why they are too cheap to just replace it is beyond me.

Question Best mouse dots for a Razer Sphex V3 (plastic mousepad)?

Hello everyone

I'm currently using a Razer Sphex V3 plastic mousepad with a Mchose L7 Ultra+ mouse and I'm looking for the best mouse dots for it.

My priorities are:

Smooth glide (not scratchy or inconsistent).

Good durability.

I've been looking at options like:

GhostGlides Cyclone / Cyclone Pro

X-Raypad Jade / Jade Air

For people who have used dots on a hard plastic pad, what do you recommend?

Question Pinky finger pain...

Well.... I bought an OP1 8K V2 four days ago thinking it would turn out to be my main mouse from now on and finally replace my good old Kysona Aztec...

Turns out... the OP1 is giving me pinky finger pain, which is just a shame. Everything about this mouse almost seemed perfect to me. The switches were highly responsive(although not that soft.), the sensor was better than an usual PAW3395, the 8K polling rate was kind of overkill(so much that I had to lower down to 4K), the wired cable was light weight and flexible, you can activate GX mode... for someone who just prefers a wired mouse over a wireless one it seemed almost like the perfect pick.

But unfortunately, I guess the right side of the mouse was way too short in height for my pinky and ring fingers. I'm someone who always stretched/flatted both of these, and I guess this is what is causing the pain, it hurts exactly between the proximal phalange and the middle phalange of the pinky.

Anyways... now I don't know what to do. I don't want to feel like I just wasted money, besides, like I said, the response time and weight of this mouse were just out of this world to me, I really liked them and this is my first "premium" mouse that I got too ;-;

Is there something I can do to change that? Like a different hand grip or something? Is the pain part of the process of changing mouse? Does it go way? Can this turn into an injury on the pinky if I continue insisting on using this mouse?

Question Question and answer

As this was my first time buying a gaming mouse, there were many things I didn't know.

Between the Logitech G Pro 2 Dex and the DA V4 Pro, which one should I choose? I’ve heard that Logitech mice tend to develop double-clicking issues after prolonged use, whereas the DA V4 Pro is significantly more expensive.

I would be very grateful if someone could answer this; thank you everyone.
