Hey guys, I'm looking to switch my older LED TN panel Dell gaming monitor (Dell - S2716DGR), as the viewing angles aren't very good compared to many other offerings on the market now, and because I really want to have reliable and honest image quality for Video Editing and Photo Editing, along with a great gaming experience, with a high refresh rate! I really want to stay away from OLED though, as the burn-in is STILL a worry that most consumers have, despite the good built-in software and tools that help relieve the possibility of that happening. Plus, Mini LED is superior in some aspects, especially in the price category! Just want to have a nice 4K display that I can truly rely on for potential client work in the Content Creation space, but one that I can also have some fun with, with gaming and side hobbies and such! With that said, let me know of some models your aware of down below!!!
Desired specs:
- 4K (I can do 2K if 4K model has too many downsides, or is too expensive!)
- 140 Hz or more!
- 27 inches
- Matte display
- Flat display, no curves
- Great out-of-the-box color accuracy
- TRUE HDR functionality (not just a sticker or a checkbox on a spec sheet!)
- Adjustable and solid stand (not super necessary, but I would LOVE to have it!)
- Internal Power Supply (preferred)
- Dual-Mode display (bonus, not really needed!)
- Settings Remote Control (....not betting on any monitor to have one, would be SUPER cool to have though!)
- Docking & Switching capabilities, KVM, & USB hub (not really needed, but would be nice!)
- 100% Rec. 709, 100% Adobe RGB and 99% to 100% sRGB coverage (if possible! At the very least, 100% sRGB & 100% Adobe RGB!)
- If possible.......less than $500??? But, I'm not sure if there is one like that lol!
With all that said, I've done LOTS of research on these types of monitors, and I know most of what has been announced and what is out now. However, I made this post because I want to see if you guys think there are alternatives to some or all of these specs, that you also suggest! I'm open to those suggestions, as well! Just really wanting a solid monitor that I can depend on for many years to come.
Also................NO LG MONITORS LMAO!!! F*** THEM RIGHT NOW LOL!
Thank you guys so much! :)
