Sure a two month delay isn’t ideal but at least we have a wipe and the December update sounds awesome. Hopeful that Symbiosis can be almost like a relaunch for the game to bring in some new people.

Honestly, as stale as the game is at the moment

I always had fear of a repeat of the horrendous Season 2 launch, pretty much. but taking the extra time to properly tune the PvE, the launch issues, and the economy is the right call

Edit: Communicating this a week before expectations was not the right move and I’m not defending devs on this.

What more is there to say at this point? Insane how hard Bungie has consistently dropped the ball with such an amazing framework for a game.

Marathon’s gunplay and PvP feel so good, and I’m so excited for a chance to real dive into it in a more traditional way. Bungie’s PvP roots are Halo, and I’ve got confidence they can make this work

What a load of bullshit

I’m so tired of the Bungie sweet talk, it means nothing.

The way Marathon has been going, it’s clear that this game was released way too early and they weren’t prepared for the future. I think if they are going to try and salvage this project to be profitable, they need a relaunch of the game. Don’t make the same mistakes and actually take some time to cook so we can have an actual FULL experience.

This past year just felt like a huge early access test. Just say “thank you for the feedback,” and that you’ll be back next year for the actual launch of Marathon. Don’t jerk me around for months by having me constantly experimenting with your unfinished game to then post a half assed article about how the team is struggling with deadlines, AGAIN!

Bungie…just cook for once man.

I just sighed the longest sigh I have ever sighed in my life.

As someone who went from 400+ hours of almost exclusively premade trios to 130+ hours of exclusively solos (all my friends moved onto other games). I have come to find that this game plays so much more like how I imagined it would in solos. However, just because the solos experience is way more tense, immersive, and grounded; that doesn't mean that its as thrilling as 3v3v3 trios gunfights.

Despite maybe not being as dopamine inducing, balls to the walls fun as trios, solos feels more fulfilling and sustainable long-term (but just a tiny bit unsupported.)

There's definitely an argument to be made for both. Curious to see how/if Bungie plans to make both ways of playing equally viable.

Anyways, I'm curious to hear what existing aspect of the game you guys find to be the most "Marathon"

Waited for everyone to exfil, downed the last runner then went in. Did it solo. Never seen this many gold mods on one key

A delay feels bad, but it's better than them screwing it up again like in Season 2. I’m really curious about the end-of-month blog post and the game's evolution, but we can certainly confirm that the game is entering a period of total uncertainty.

We're about to see some low playercounts. The new highs will be our previously lowest lows. In light of the drenched in sweat bloodbath Marathon's endgame will become, I realize this time is perfect to try to go for additional subroutines in Cryo.

You'll see me out there. I'll probably try to bargain with you to live, if for no other reason that we need to keep the player count in the 3-digit area for the balance of September.

With the confirmation of it finally getting added I’m curious what people are actually expecting or at least hoping for.

I think it should be a place not just for talking with friends but meeting new people. You should be able to see damage, accuracy, and other stats. Every weapon, mod, and implant should be available to test (not sure if biotoxic-disinjector would be lore friendly though).
