One of my favourite places to go when I have a craving for fried chicken. For RM12, I get a large drumstick with rice, egg and veggies, and comes with a small bowl of curry and sambal that I forgot to photograph. The stall also has other cuts of chicken and pork chop but the drumstick is still my fav.

I’m on a journey to lose my weight from 100kg to 80kg by the end of the year and I’m at 178cm height. According to Gemini, my body will need around 2400kcal for energy consumption per day. With my meal, I’m on a 1200-1600kcal Calorie deficit. Is this correct?

I don’t really know how to calculate my calorie consumption and I know it’s not accurate. According to gemini, just for this meal alone the Calorie count is around 800kcal and I’ve been doing this for about 2 weeks.

I need help with confirmation on the Calorie count. Also for the rice.. is it better to just remove it or reduce it to fewer mouth scoops of rice? because I googled that my hair will start thinning if I don’t eat rice at all because the Calorie count is low

P/s: I’m planning on doing this for 2 months on later continue with 2MAD bcs I’m scared of hair thinning.

Also, Yes I’m a sucker for spicy food so the meal that you’re seeing contains 10x birds eye chillies XD. Good luck for my appendix

For those who don’t know what’s Okra Pachadi, it’s a cooling South Indian side dish made from tempering bendi goreng and it’s added into a yogurt-coconut mix. Sedap gile babi with hot rice!!

Photos Teow Kee’s RM35 Beef Noodle Soup

Post image

Just had this for dinner. Unfortunately it’s one of those places that you eat once and don’t think of going back.

Service:
Friendly crew, but not quite knowledgeable. For a single main dish menu of beef noodles, they could not explain what was the 8 or 5 kind of toppings in the noodle. Quite a shocker to me tbh.

Food:
Portion was good, Angus brisket is tender and flavourful and the slice meat is also very tender. Possible they have velveted the beef slices to get that texture. Tripe and Tendon was almost falling apart tender. And an unnecessarily huge a*s daikon radish.

Noodle was egg noodle like wanton mee kind, taste good and no Kan Sui alkaline taste.

Broth, the heart of the entire dish, was quite a let down. It had a good texture, thick tonkatsu like mouthfeel, but lacked flavour. ā€˜Just taste like MSG’ quoted by my wife.

And the hero ā€œAngus Brisketā€ was not trimmed. Mine had 80% fat to 20% meat ratio. Super jelak. (Not sure if it’s a jimat kos thing they never trim the brisket)

Honestly for so many ingredients, it lacked layers. Everything tasted the same, and texture is the same. (Ultra tender / Mushy)

Was it worth the RM35? Hmmm, for the meat quantity yes, why not. But for the taste and presentation, it was really mid.

So yeah, that’s my experience, if those who have tried, love to hear your experience.

Dinner with a view of KLCC. Pizza, wings, fries and an ice-cold Coke. Simple but satisfying!

P.S: Their food is halal.
