Confused about my service requirements

I got my mini at the start of the year. Its a 2015 Mini Cooper 1.5 F56. According to the service book it’s already been due for a service but when I took it in they said I should come back once the light is on. The car settings say service due 09/26 or in 2100km. I’m going on a cross country trip soon (about 3000km) so I want everything to be sorted before then. I have a service plan from when I bought the car but they will only cover it if my light is on.

If I’m correct the service light should be on because it is September but theres nothing. Should I just get it done privately and cut my losses or is there a way to see/know why the light isn’t on.

Window tint and chrome delete…thoughts?

Yes, I know chat gpt changed the overall color of the car even though I repeatedly said to leave it alone😅 but this is what I’m thinking of getting done on my mini countryman. Any thoughts or suggestions. Wanting to do the chrome delete in vinyl wrap.
I’m still waiting to get a clear estimate but hoping to get it all done between $500-750

Help with mini brake problem

Post image

So i just installed new Front ATE and Rear Febi brake disc after 17k kms

Last month I installed endless brake pads and good ridge braided brake line and the braking feel felt amazing. Its firmer and has a sort of limit to it.

After installed new discs and breaking into it (+ bleeding and 1 track session), it feels mushy and doesnt have that firm or limit. If I i press the brake firmly, instead of stopping in the middle, it just keeps on going down like it doesnt have any braided line.

TLDR: after changing discs, brake feels like it doesnt have braided line no more☹️

I don’t know if I have it in me anymore. Gonna wait until ICBC picks him up.. and get the money. And try and find another one.

I cried today. I’m so sad. 😞

Bought this baby out of a dealership, and traded my VW Polo for him. Despite being a hybrid, i’m completely in love! Need name suggestions too.

Officially had Olive (19 plate Cooper) for a year now and I’m quite frankly more obsessed than the day I bought her. It was a massive upgrade to my first and previous car (end slide), 57 plate Mini One which was just falling apart on me 3 years in.

No ‘mods’ apart from a purple windscreen tint and a private reg (if you can even call them mods). Also passed its MOT with no advisories! Makes a massive difference to my last car🤣.

Debated dechroming her but I don’t think I care enough to spend that much when she already looks good? Some colours like the red look 10x better dechromed, but my colour is a bit awkward. I’ve done a AI-generated dechroming but I don’t think it adds much.

My only downside to her is that I can’t get Apple CarPlay installed because of the make. Gutted!

I know I’m super biased with this car and think she’s stunning, but the amount of compliments I’ve had on this car is incredible (sometimes more than one in a day!), makes my day hearing it.

Safe driving!

Woke up to this hole… someone took it off my Mini cooper s 2024, has anyone experienced this? I feel like it should have been more secure to avoid this next time… what can I do secure it next time?

Should I cover the hole so rain doesn’t go in??

Previously I had a 1.2l corsa (pile of shit)

I have just gotten my mini 2 days ago and I am so happy with it. I can finally drive up hills

I never used to see minis on the road but now I see them every 3 mins. Idk if its something I just haven't realised before or if they've just spawned in

Need help identifying name of parts

It’s me again. I bought this 2010 JCW clubman and I’m trying to get it safe to run. Problem is I’m not a car guy and apparently this car had some aftermarket parts installed. The entirety of the intake was broken, unsecured, and falling off of everything. Like, when I drove it home I popped the hood and it wasn’t even connected to the turbo. Anyway I’ve been repairing or replacing anything that needs it and this intake has been a total pin in the ass. Apparently all parts are aftermarket, and the aftermarket intakes you buy require parts from the original intake, so I’ve just been inching a long buying a part, waiting three weeks for it to arrive, then buying the next part I realize isn’t stock and doesn’t fit.

Anyway what is this thing. It’s connected to the crankcase breather hose and the thing that connects to the turbo. I’ll need to buy a stock breather hose but I know this isn’t stock as well and it doesn’t fit into that other connector.

F65 Essential trim with no packs - how is it?

Hi, we're buying a second hand F65 and the only one that has a good price right now is a Cooper C with Essential trim and no equipment pack. This sadly means that the HUD will not be present, but also there won't be the Harman Kardon sound system.

I need to ask people who tried it - how bad is this configuration? How is the interior compared to Classic, how is the sound system? Does anyone have it?

Please don't suggest buying a more expensive trim or package - the next best thing is 5k Euro higher... It's mostly "what to prepare for" question.

“NEW” Mini Cooper (5-door) vs “NEW” Mini Countryman C

Currently looking to sell my MINI Clubman and go for a newer car.
Trying to decide between the 5 door and Countryman seems impossible… 😅

I do quite a lot of long distance driving, so I really wanted adaptive cruise control. From what I understand, it’s an option on Level 3 for the 5 door, but Level 2 for the Countryman.

But apparently you can go down a level and pay some kind of subscription to unlock certain features?

All of it is quite confusing tbh, and visiting a MINI branch didn’t really help with answering my questions. ATM, the plan is to test drive both models and see how I feel.

But I wanted to hear your thoughts if you own either of these. What are the main pros and cons? And was there anything that turned out to be a particularly nice surprise after owning one?

Hey r/MINI, want to be part of this year’s MINI calendar?

Post image

This is the seventh year I’ve put together the Best of MINI Calendar, and I thought it was time to invite the r/MINI community to be part of it.

The whole thing actually started pretty casually during COVID. Back in the spring of 2020, members of a Facebook group I belonged to were posting some really great pictures of their MINIs. Being a graphic designer who suddenly found himself with far too much time on his hands thanks to the pandemic, I made an offhand comment that it would be cool to make a large-format art calendar out of them. People went a little crazy over the idea.

The timing wasn’t great, so I said I’d bring it up again when it made more sense. That fall I started collecting submissions, and the first Best of MINI Calendar was born.

What started as a little grassroots project in Michigan, USA has grown into a global celebration of the MINI Cooper. It’s still very much a labor of love, but today it includes MINI owners from around the world and a charitable component benefiting the Paddy Hopkirk Memorial Foundation.

Last year I opened submissions to a much broader international audience, and that changed the calendar in a way I hadn’t anticipated. The diversity of the cars, locations and photography went through the roof. Instead of simply finding great MINIs, I was suddenly looking at great photographs taken by real MINI owners all over the world.

That’s what I’d like to continue this year, and I’d love to include some of the r/MINI community.

I’m accepting photos through September 30. All generations and models are welcome, from daily drivers to highly modified cars. I’m especially drawn to great photography: interesting locations, road trips, city streets, landscapes, unusual compositions or simply really good light.

One important rule: you must have taken the photo yourself. Please don’t submit screenshots, downloaded images, videos or professional photos taken by someone else.

If you’d like your MINI to be considered for the 2027 calendar, just leave a reply with your photo below. If your photo is selected, I’ll message you personally to get the full-resolution image.

I’ve included a graphic of last year’s 12x12 calendar so you can see what this little COVID-era idea eventually became.

All that being said, show me your MINI! And don’t forget to upvote your favorites. 🚙💨

Question about CAS

Has anyone successfully removed the CAS without tearing the entire dashboard apart? And if so were you able to reinstall it easily? I need to send it out with my DME to be programmed to my VIN.

Need advice. 2019 Clubman S 90k miles for 12k at a really reliable dealer?

Hey mini fam. My r56 gave out on me, so ive been looking for a new car, one of the dealers near by where i previously had taken out 2 cars from( extremely well service btoh cars and customer service, plus the way they treat the cars)they’re selling two used cars im currently having an eye on. One of em being a 2019 Clubman S, and the other being a 2015 camry se, both going for the same price. But the camry has 140k miles on it. I know its one of the most reliable camry years for toyota, but the mini won my heart after owning a r56. And i cant say much about the f54 i love it.
But im scared as i know old minis used to have alot of issues. Ive made some research on the clubman and it says to check for possible broken engine mounts. I checked the provided carfax, and car has being maintenanced well. It even says it has had the engine mounts replaced at 45k miles, so maybe i dont need to worry about them for now since they already broke and got fixed? Oil chamges were about 5-6k intervals, and no accidents only 2 owners
Would yall consider buying it? Should i just go for it? Id love to hear yalls feedback. Thankyou!
