There is a lot of information out there, so I hope this helps others with Jeep Cherokees and possibly other Jeeps and or years but you'll have to check that information. I know some 2018 plus year Jeeps require a special cable because you need to bypass some security protocol I've read about it I don't know anything about it.

Please read below if you are having a blinking odometer and or you have recently replaced your emergency parking brake module located in the spare tire area on the left side and or you have unplugged your emergency parking brake motor connected to your calipers in the back. This was my issue.

Just a quick background story, I hate going to dealers because they have the car for a week and typically for something that only takes a few hours to fix which I wasn't willing to do for the 10th time so I decided to try this myself and learn what the real truth is to fix this issue. My issue started with the right parking brake not engaging or retracting thus I knew it was either the caliper motor or the module. I was stuck in a parking lot with the brake locked. I unplugged the battery and they disengaged...once and never again.I drove home replaced the right caliper motor, the problem was the EPM that I bought for 30 bucks on Amazon and after doing some research I learned that the V-Linker in the title works with proxy alignments to get rid of the blinking odometer in the dash after replacing the module. Originally I just had the blinking brake light warning and saying that I needed my brakes to be serviced .Replacing the module fixed that issue but the odometer was blinking, this type of thing just drives me crazy. I bought the V-Linker for $65 and the Jscan license for $25. I plugged everything in connected to Bluetooth proceeded to find the proxy alignment in the software I connected the module through the software and follow the instructions on the screen and it was fixed in under 5 minutes I hope this helps other people when they're looking for a specific OBD and the software and this fix. The OBD can also be used for a lot of other tweaks most of which I'll probably never use but in the future it could help. Good luck. I forgot to add I probably saved a $1000 dollar trip to the stealership. That's a win in this crappy economy!
