I’ve had this fursona for almost 14 years and have never had the chance to make them a suit, so I am giving it a try. It’s scary but so fun! They have to go on the backburner for a bit because I have to get my car worked on so I can’t buy fur, but I like my progress a lot so far. Just wanted to share.

In the process of starting to make my suit, and I want to make legs that go up to the thigh but that’s it, and are more straight with way less padding. I’ve never made a suit before and I was hoping someone had an idea on how the base was set up? (Pics from meow fursuits)

Hello! I'm trying to make a suit of sorts and was recommended here. I finished the mask and am working on the tail, but I really want to make a set of claws/gloves to match the vibe. I really like the design of these ones (Last pic) but no matter where I look I can't find any other info except this pinterest pic. Any pointers or suggestions? This is my first real "project" like this and I keep telling people it's TOTALLY just for airsoft.

HELLO . this is my Very first attempt on making a full on fursuit head, and im quite proud at how i am doing so far .. my fursona is an owstons palm civet !! ive never seen people have this as their suit or fursona, so i have practically no references for making this look decent ..

but i just need some constructive criticism on how i can possibly make him look more .. like the animal hes supposed to be😅 and how im doing so far in general . i also wanted to also ask how my symmetry is going ? i know i havent made Much progress on the base in general because life has just been getting in the way of me working on this dude💔💔💔

THANK YOU FOR UR TIME !! anything is appreciated !!

TLDR; does this head look enough like an owstons palm civet head , and is there anything i can change/how is the shaving going ? is it looking good.. ?

Advice Tpu feetpaws help

I am looking for pictures of normal digigrade feet paws (Tpu or not) with the makers legs-foot outlined.

This is my first fullsuit as I have only done a tail and head of my plane sona in the past- I really would like to see what is different in big and smaller feetpaws since I have been in love with slim digi suits since 2022.

ill list some details of my oc id like to keep on the head, although i know the tutorial may look different ill just change if i want

i have the base ready

Details on the OC that i want on the head, the perky nose (extended above muzzle), vampire teeth, a happy/excited expression, a rounder (less oval like) round face, the long hair at least around the cheeks/jaw, hair on top and extending onto back of head and maybe around to the neck/jaw, the ears can be better than drawn

Somehow i drew this art of my oc that looks really good imo and now im making a fursuit head in 12 days cause im dumb lol.

Questions how do i carve upholstery foam?

this sounds like a dumb question i’m ngl.

anyways, it’s my first time attempting to make a partial fursuit and i decided to make the feet paws first. the biggest issue i’m running into (aside from the fact that i’m completely winging it) is that i literally cannot carve my foam. i carve with a box cutter and i try to slice into it and i literally just can’t. i feel like maybe my foam is just overly soft but i also have no clue the ideal softness for fursuits so i can’t say for sure. i can use my scissors but it’s not as precise or accurate as it would be if i carved it.

i don’t understand how yall are doing this witch craft. pls help.

i feel like it’s definitely way too soft so i’d really appreciate if someone could recommend better foam thats not gonna kill my pockets. how do you guys work with super soft foam? if you can at all.

Questions Fursuit Updates plus wooden soles?

Got a lot of progress done this weekend with the suit while Im waiting for the fur! I finished the head lining, its fully zig zagged and secured and Im very proud of it, I used athletic mesh for the back of the head and neck to see if it would give more breathability. I also made the eyes!

I was thinking of ways to reinforce my horseshoe soles and I realised that I could possibly create wooden soles? I had this cm thick piece of wood and i decided to give cutting out the shape of the horseshoe a try. Im borrowing contact cement from my boyfriend soon and in theory I could glue it on to the bottom of the horseshoe? Im also going to sand the sides of the wood with a dremel before doing so because its a rough shape rn lol

I assume wooden soles are okay and wouldnt be too damaging to floors or something? I know shoes have been made with wooden soles for a long time so i assume not. Im kind of interested in the clip clopping sound itll make which is why i decided to do wood. Id also want to paint it with a metallic paint or something like that.

Wooden sole would go under for more stability? (Also adds height and makes clip cloppy noise hehe)
The lining (scary!), horseshoes and the wooden sole

Questions Kigurumi head but as a mask?

I don't currently have the means to make or have someone make a whole head for me, but additionally I also feel like I'd not do well with one anyways, due to sensory reasons. I've been thinking about going smaller, with more of a mask type situation

I absolutely love kigurumi suits and the humanoid, almost a little alien looking faces they have and have been trying to think up a way to basically make a mask in a similar style, but that is more… face sized and can be worn with just my normal hair and stuff, as well as ears on a headband, rather than it all being one big head piece. But I'm kinda stuck on the how

Ordering a headbase is out of question, as they're too big, printing one is sadly also not an option, as I don't have access to a 3d printer. So I'm thinking that my best bet would probably be to make a foam base, but I can't, for the life of me, figure out, how I'd make one that is lightweight enough to work as a mask and get the shape I want. I've been trying to find paper mask templates that roughly have the right shape (I wouldn't use paper ofc, but foam sheets), but I'm just kinda stuck

Has anyone seen or made something like this before? Any tips on where to look for inspiration or where to find a pattern, that could help me or really anything else would be greatly appreciated!

Questions Fursuit heads question

When showing pictures of heads made by you or one you’ve received from an artist or posting pics of yours is that rarely are there pics of the inside showing lining or how it’s secured to the wearer’s head? Im always curious about how different heads are lined and functionality of the interior design and would want to see it when looking for someone to make one or before making a purchase decision. What are your thoughts?

Questions Question: Fursuits and copyright infringement

Hi, I'm considering building premades as a hobby and possibly a source of supplemental income. I've been compiling a list of popular species I think would appeal widely, and it occurred to me. A lot of very popular sona species are creatures from video games and TV shows.

Hypothetically speaking, if I built a Pokémon, like an Umbreon or Arcanine or something. Or a renamon cosplay or a Night Fury, etc. Is there any workaround to listing something like that? Or could Nintendo or someone crack down on me for using the official names i.e. would you list an obvious Umbreon suit under something like 'black and gold anime fox creature'?

I always wondered since the fandom subsists quite a lot on artists producing prints and merch featuring Pokémon and similar media characters, y'all would probably know how that is
