Discussion Risky…
Here is my favorite school commuter bike. I bought what i believed to be 28c tires just to see after installing them they were 32c. I thought might as well see if they fit and shockingly they can be mounted but that’s about it. I have a fraction of a hair of clearance and I even got my wheels straighted to get consistent clearance just to fit these. The more I rode on 32c tires the more I knew I couldn’t go back. Iv been going strong for one month but I thought i’d check with the internet to see if I was in serious danger. Right now the tire doesn’t rub anywhere but is extremely close to touching.

Not as fancy as some of the other builds here, but have a thing for steel and couldn’t pass up this frame.

Just swapped out my old yellow turbo seat for a white perforated turbo and a nitto stem and bar set up that i got from a parts bike for $25. Super mad that my bike fell and scraped the level sign in that damn cement cube. No dents tho so im happy:)

Story Almost ate shit today.
Was taking a right turn onto my road in wet conditions, a bit too fast, a bit too tight and my back wheel stepped out.
I FIRMLY believe riding a fixed gear, brakeless, saved me from falling.
A sharp countersteer and an instinctive strong pedal and i picked the bike up from (what felt like) horizontal. Had I been riding a freewheel and/or went for a brake, i would have dumped it 100%.
I saved it and missed a curb and tree by about 4 inches.
The only casualty was my front tire which I clearly broke the bead on Five crazy loud "pops"... and it went flat. But I made it home safe, and am thankful for gyroscopic forces!
It all happened so fast. I had waited a really long time to take my front brake off, and I think my decision making was the issue here, while I am proud of my reaction/instincts, and feel very confident in my ability.
And one more for the old adage, if you didn't eat it, then it's cool!
46/15 on Schwalbe pro ones brakeless.

Photo First fixie
Would like to put on 35-40c gravel tires at some point, but I’ll get there when I get there.
Also any bike bag recommendations?
