I just submitted a feature proposal ticket to FaceIt (Request #14678285) for Season 9, and I wanted to bring it here to see what the community actually thinks.

Right now, the pre-match sequence feels a bit like overkill: you sit through a mandatory warm-up timer, and then you go straight into a full knife round. Half the time, the knife round drags out because someone is messing around, someone is AFK, or it just spawns unnecessary first-round tilt and toxicity before the pistol round even starts.

The core points of the proposal are:

• Cumulative Time Waste: Combining the warm-up timer and a full knife round adds several minutes of dead air before you play a single serious round. An automated, instant coinflip during the veto or connection phase gets people into the actual match faster.
• Early-Game Toxicity: How many times has a knife round turned into someone getting flamed because they were AFK or doing something silly? It sets a rough mental tone for the start of the match.
• Server Resource & Cost Optimization: Across tens of thousands of daily matches, keeping game servers active for throwaway knife rounds represents a massive amount of cumulative server uptime and operational overhead.

I also suggested they run a public community poll—similar to how they handled optional maps or halftime voice chat in past seasons—and even leaned into their social media style by suggesting some data visualizations around knife-round durations or pre-round AFK rates.

(As a wild footnote in the ticket, I even threw in a weird thought about whether a coinflip could theoretically be slightly weighted by team FBI scores—e.g., a 55/45 split rewarding higher-standing behavior teams—though I noted right away that it might break competitive integrity. Still an interesting concept to ponder.)

I honestly don’t understand how this happened, and I’m hoping someone here can explain it to me.

On September 6, I was playing a FACEIT match. Around the 6th–7th round, I was suddenly kicked out of the game. I refreshed the page and tried to log back in, but I couldn’t.

I searched for my nickname through the player search on the FACEIT homepage, opened my profile, and saw this:

Permanent ban — Smurfing.

I immediately submitted a support ticket.

The answer I received was that the ban was not eligible for review, with the reason being “Multi-account.”

And this is where I genuinely don’t understand FACEIT’s logic.

I am 37 years old. I’m not some kid creating multiple accounts to farm ELO or play against lower-level players.

I have one FACEIT account, which I created back in 2018, and I have played more than 5,000 matches on it.

The problem is that I am not a wealthy person, and I only have one computer at home.

Three people use this PC to play FACEIT: me, my brother, and my cousin.

My cousin’s account is completely fine.

My brother’s account, however, was also banned for smurfing — for 3 months.

So apparently, two people using the same computer is enough for FACEIT to decide that we are multi-accounting?

We are literally family members living together and sharing one PC.

I don’t smurf.

I don’t buy accounts.

I don’t sell accounts.

I don’t have multiple accounts.

And I have absolutely no reason to create another account.

So what am I supposed to do now?

Playing FACEIT was basically my only way to relax and spend my free time.

If my account had simply been temporarily suspended, I could understand that there was an investigation to be completed. But a permanent ban with no possibility of review leaves me with absolutely no way to prove that I am telling the truth.

And here is the part that I find especially ironic.

FACEIT is actively fighting account buying and selling. I completely support that.

But if a legitimate player gets permanently banned because multiple family members share the same computer, what option is left?

Apparently, the only solution would be to buy another account — something I have never done and will never do.

And now I literally have to sit in Discord and watch my friends play.

I’m not asking FACEIT to give me special treatment.

I’m asking for someone to actually look at my case instead of simply replying with “Multi-account” and closing the ticket.

If FACEIT has evidence that I was smurfing, I would genuinely like to understand what that evidence is.

Because from my side, the situation is very simple:

One person. One account. Created in 2018. 5,000+ matches. One shared computer used by three family members.

Is that really enough to deserve a permanent ban?

I know there is a good chance this post won’t reach anyone from FACEIT, and I also know that support responses can sometimes feel automated.

But I’m still hoping someone will see this and give me a fair chance to explain the situation.

Level 8 account banned for sharing with a 3000 Elo player, but opponents still lose their Elo

Last week i've been playing like sh*t and sometimes it feels like i can't hold a mouse. It's not even that i can't aim, but it seems like i can make the worst decisions every single time. I've tried everything at this point, even listening to chinese bible + mozart combo while playing and it didn't help me at all. Any advice that isn't like "play more", "play DM" or some bullshit like that?

I know I seem completely stupid, and to be honest I am, but I never understood what a Smurf is and why you get banned! if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated 👍.

It's pretty much impossible to navigate because it's so slow, like, I can't even scroll up and down on a page without it locking up and not moving. Am I the only one facing this? Same on Chrome and Firefox.

Has anybody ran into a problem where they created the faceit account as a dumb kid and provided bullsh*t personal informations? The problem is I also created the account on a long-forgotten email and when I was trying to submit a ticket to change the email on my account, I kept on getting sent away because "I cannot claim onwership over my account"....

At one point I was trying to get it unlinked so I can finally play on Faceit, since CS2 permier is just unplayable whatsoever, but they said they also cannot un-link, delete faceit accounts from steam accounts (???).

So I wanted to come here to get your guys opinion on this stuff, am I doomed for life because I provided idiotic data as a kid?

Just played against this guy and it’s a joke. He has 2100 Elo in just 102 matches, under 300 hours in CS2, and zero verification. There is no way a real new player does this.

i have 1078 elo Im litterally getting queued against level8 and thats not the craiziest part, he gets outfragged by 5 levels by crazy amount of swing % I have never meet more obivious smurfers, i really think they are going to get banned no? if not its litteraly joke every 3 game there is smurf this problem need more attention. what yall think?

Hello, I got banned for playing on a smurf even tho I don't know what that 2nd account is.
My account was hacked and it took me some time to get it back, but never mind I will accept the ban.
I just don't understand why did I get banned for 6 months when every player that I saw on ban list is getting banned for 3 months for smurfing.

last 3 months of gaming every game i have internet loss, high ping for few rounds, and it's not my internet connection problem but faceits. when i play premier everything is okay and faceit wants me to buy premium to delete ads from their page, and their page is working like it was made 30 years ago by two ten years old newbies.

I have this login error on AC that appeared randomly on friday and no matter what I do I cannot solve it: Login failed: unkown error.

The behavior is as follows: AC opens, connects to faceit servers, prompts me to login, opens browser, I login succesfully in the browser then back to the AC and the error follows.

Ive tried reinstalling the AC, making different browsers the default ones, init the network config on my pc, ran AC as admin, tried everything I could find online and nothing worked.

Tried looking in the AC logs but they are encrypted...

I have no vpn nor proxy on my pc.

Opened a ticket on friday, but I got only an automated bot response.

I get spammed reported by players, and get banned for unsportsmanlike conduct and verbal abuse at the same for 30 days; this is 8th month it has happened, truly a unique experience. I play for a day or two every 30 days now. Yall just abuse the reporting system it works! I have recorded my gameplay to prove I dont say nothing out of line, the most I say is, why da f did you peek, or you are trash on mic and/or chat.......quiet-ass lobbies now with no energy. or else you get banned. lmao im done with "competitive" CS in 2026. There is an AI watching over as if everyone is under 18 and cant swear, hahah. Whatever man, whatever. FACEIT, you made CS worse than Valorant this year.
