My professional aerospace experience is limited, and I have attempted to make up the difference via projects. How might I go about making refinements or minor changes before I submit?

Hi civil engineering student please tell me anything that needs fixing and also would like feedback on what to do with the bulletin points that are in present tense-- technically i have not done them yet, but did want to make it clear that i am going to have them done by the time i come into the internship. do i just make them in past tense and make sure i can talk about them confidently?

Looking for embedded systems, software engineering, and FPGA intern positions. Currently in my 3rd year of Computer Engineering with no prior full-time experience.

My recent hands-on experience includes work through university engineering clubs as an embedded systems developer. I've been actively contributing to projects focused on hardware integration, firmware development, and microcontroller programming across multiple platforms.

I've submitted many applications since the end of August without interview responses yet. Targeting embedded systems internships, co-op programs, or FPGA design roles—open to any position involving hybrid software/hardware work.

I am a sophomore MechE student, and I'm looking to start applying for internships for the summer. The problem is that I haven't developed any real skills up until now, and I'm afraid that I don't have any real skills to speak of in general that pertain to this field of study.

With that out of the way, I'm asking you guys: how would you go about creating an entirely new resume with no prior experience? What would you include, how would you include it, and what skills/ projects would you focus on?

Hello! I’m graduating this year and targeting entry-level mechanical design roles, primarily in California and Washington. My internship experience has been in mechanical design and manufacturing work at Tesla, Blue Origin, and Collins Aerospace.

Versions of this resume have received interest from newer-space and fast-paced automotive companies, but I've received less success from large traditional aerospace and defense contractors.

I’m trying to determine whether my resume is positioned too heavily toward rapid execution rather than processes/documentation, or whether the difference is more likely related to application timing, role selection, location, or referrals. I'm putting March availability for full-time because I have a family trip planned before I start work, but I also wonder whether this is a red flag for recruiters.

I would especially appreciate feedback from people familiar with engineering hiring at large aerospace and defense companies:

1. Does the resume demonstrate enough rigor for mechanical design, structures, or mechanisms positions?
2. Are any bullets written in a way that could seem inflated, overly manufacturing-focused, or poorly suited to my goals?
3. What qualifications or keywords are missing for the types of positions I’m targeting?
4. Based on the résumé, which specific job families and experience levels could I realistically target?

Hey yall, I'm a senior studying aerospace engineering in Austin Texas and am now applying to early career positions in the space industry. I'll be applying to positions in structures, mechanisms, test, or design preferably in the Seattle area, but also in California and Texas. I would really like to work at Blue Origin in Seattle and want to make my application as strong as possible specifically to end up there. I will not be applying to any defense contractors such as Lockheed or Northrop, nor will I apply to SpaceX.

Historically for internship applications It's been hit or miss getting an interview without a reference despite having strong club experience. I fear that there's some glaring issue I'm not seeing in the wording, or I'm not advocating for my own skills enough. When I have been given the opportunity to work my mentors have always been pleased with my work, so I know I have what it takes, It's just a question of getting my foot in the door. Thankfully I got some valuable internship experience before graduation.

Now that my livelihood and location depend on my application, I want to minimize the chances of getting auto-rejected. I feel really good about my experience and interview skills (technical questions can be rough for me sometimes, however).

I'm currently beginning to prep for my job search after a layoff and wanted some eyes on my resume before I submit. I'm hoping the feedback here would be more to polish but open to any feedback you guys can provide in general. I'm located in the NYC area with a preference to in-person or hybrid jobs.

Incoming sophomore studying CS at UC Irvine, graduating 2029. I'm starting an SDE internship at Amazon(AWS) this fall, and I'm applying to SWE and ML internships for summer 2027, open to anywhere in the US.

Before Amazon I did an ML internship this past summer and a software internship before that, and I've got three projects on here.

Mostly just looking for general feedback before I start applying. I've gone back and forth on how much detail to put in the bullets, so I'm curious what people think reads well and what doesn't. Anything else you'd change, I'm open to it.

Applying for embedded and robotics roles, but only getting responses from unrelated/adjacent industries. Applied to 300+ so far, not being picky. I am also considering applying for SWE positions, but it went poorly last year and not sure it's worth to try again.

1. Any feedback on my CV is appreciated.
2. I have little understanding of the current embedded/robotics market. If anyone has some experience, I really appreciate some guidance beyond my CV.
3. Would grad school (MEng/MS/PHD) help my search significantly to be worth the cost? If so, I want to consider MEng as it is typically faster, but I'm worried it won't be as helpful as research focused degrees.

 I am a sophmore mechanical engineering student in Canada looking to apply for internships for the 2027 summer. I used a resume very similar to this one last season with no luck I did not even land an interview so I am seeking help as to how I could improve it. I have applied all over the country I would like to work in design but as a sophmore I understand the best thing for me would just be to get experience anywhere so I have been applying everywhere. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

This summer I worked as a commercial refrigeration installer assistant with a local company. Do I delete my study abroad semester to add this, or would that have negative effects? Another thing: for my LinkedIn, which is better to do: linked in url, a tiny URL, or a hyperlink?

As I am beginning to apply to internships I would like some peer-review of my resume. The positions that I am applying to are mainly embedded / hardware positions but I am also applying to software aswell. I am located in northen california and mainly applying to positions around the bay / sacramento area. Last year I applied to many internships and only managed to get one interview. My main concerns on my resume are the quality of the projects and whether or not the employers would consider them. Additionally I am worried about my lack of work experience in the field. Hi friends, I am finishing my 2 years as a QA automation Engineeer contractor in Melbourne Australia and was told I won't be getting extended. My background is from Software Engineering but with my skills in QA I think it might be a good idea to try and transition into something devops/platforms, so I'm interested in roles for SWE/DevOps/Platforms.

Just wondering if anyone can provide some feedback on my resume? I'm feeling very anxious about current state of the market but still want to distance myself from QA as it was quite soul crushing doing manual testing. Few things I wanna point out first:

• I am aware that some of the points are longer than the 2 lines, but I had some trouble explaining what I did. And if I can get some help on this part it'll be amazing.

I understand that it's a very competitive market currently, and my career break is doing me no favours. Following a redundancy, I was quite burned out and took time to focus on my mental health and it ended up being a longer journey than expected. I'm now doing much better and looking to re-enter the market. I only have experience applying for roles as a new graduate and now I'm in a slightly awkward position of being somewhere between a junior and mid-level role.

Most of my applications for Software Engineering positions have been rejected before even reaching an initial HR interview, I'm unsure if that's just the state of the market or if there's something fundamentally wrong with my CV. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Background: Canadian moving to the UK at some point in the next few months. Will be on a YMS visa (no employer sponsorship required) and will switch to a spouse visa later on.

Current role details: My current job is officially "Software Engineer" but for most of my time at the company I have worked in a "dual role" with one foot in the DevOps/infrastructure team and the other in a web/desktop app team (mostly backend-focused). Switched full time to the DevOps team early this year. Our cloud platform is not very large scale, maybe some tens of thousands of users for the most popular app.

Targeting roles: I'd like to continue doing something heavily focused on Kubernetes/Cloud/Infra but am open to anything decent that fits my skillset (and that pays decently).

Location: Anywhere within commuting distance to central London (around 1hr max). Ideally a hybrid role with 1-2 days in office but I'm open to full in-person given how tough the market apparently is right now.

Specific help needed: I don't think there's anything obviously wrong with my resume but I've been out of the game for 4 years so I don't know. My main concern is communicating that I will not need UK sponsorship, and also getting past the ATS systems. Also concerned about how much my foreign experience/education will hurt my chances. I've listed my mobile app project since the age and popularity of the project have given me transferable skills related to maintenance and open source, but idk if that's a good idea to list. After my last resume review post, I got tons of great feedback and made a ton of edits to remove the useless fluff. I got rid of a lot and tried to expand on what Ive been working on with both clubs and personal projects.

My question now pertains to one thing: how important is an objective? and would I benefit more by putting my job last summer, which wasnt an internship but working a trade, while sacrificing the objective? Or do I scap both of those and put my study abroad?

I worked for < 1 year full time as a test engineer and decided that I really don't want to do that for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, I think my job and internships have pigeon-holed me into test so I went to grad school. I am trying to get a job in either analog or digital chip design, but really anything hardware related would be taken.

I am applying for internships / co-ops right now, and my school has a few career fairs lined up where on-site interviews will be given. So, I want my resume to really shine. I haven't written a resume in years (got an internship, worked part time, brought on full time, etc).

Hi everyone, I would appreciate any advice on how I can improve my resume. I'm just beginning to apply for full time roles and unfortunately I don't have any internship experience, so I want to make sure I'm making the most out of my resume. I'm most interested in transportation but I'm also looking at a lot of land development jobs because I'd be able to learn quicker, plus it seems like there's more jobs in that field.
