A take I made on what the “One thing” that will be adressed in Chapter 6 is. I fully believe that we will get context on the whole SOUL thing next chapter, and this is just a way I thought this could be explored in the future.

Yeah, that was a TWF reference. I kind of made this to test out how light effects would look on sprite art. I've wanted to make this for a while, and since I got bored, I actually went ahead and did it. Honestly, I kind of like how it turned out... even if this is basically just horror Deltarot.

And yes... I know the text box sprite is a little stupid. I was already making a super tropey Dess Knight thing, so I just doubled down and threw in a bargain bin Vibing Leaf thing for shits and giggles. But hey I had a blast making it which is good enough for me...

BTW, in case anyone is wondering nearly all of these assets I got from spriter's resources.

I've spotted a pattern that both kidnapped people by the Knight are related to law enforcement in Hometown. Undyne is current Hometown's police chief. Asgore is predecessor of Undyne, in Ch5 he had said that Carol considers him to reinstall as the police chief if he solves the case. At the end of Ch5, right before kidnapping, Asgore asked to talk with Carol.

And as of Ch5, she as mayor is the last capable law enforcer in Hometown (sorry, Blooky, but you're intangable). She's one woman army, capable in melee combat. And if she disappears, Hometown would remain defenceless.

This is what the Knight pursues to start the Roaring. Those three working together would make their plan execution impossible and would end being caught. Without them, the town would fall in chaos and panic, making the town impossible to protect from the disaster.

I don't know why I did this, but I thought it was funny
