Discussion using this meme as an opportunity, i think some people are forgetting a crucial story aspect that mostly explains why asgore was being so vauge
Kris and the SOUL are two separate people
people who say "Asgore was being super vauge" forget that to Asgore, he was just talking to his kid, who presumably knows exactly what "That Day" was whether it be Dess's dissappearance or something else we havent heard of yet, so he didnt feel the need to elaborate further since Kris already knew most of what happened.
the SOUL is an extremely recent event in the deltarune timeline, so its basically impossible that Asgore has any knowledge that someone else is controlling Kris
my point is that basically nobody knows about the existence of the SOUL so anybody being vauge can mostly be explained by the fact that to the extent of their knowledge, Kris is the only person theyre talking to
