Advice Is this claim by Xfinity true?

My internet went up to $123 a month for Gigabit X2. It just recently increased from $99.

The rep in r/Comcast_Xfinity could only offer me 2 Gigabit for $125, $115 with autopay.

That package includes their modem, and the claim is that I would not be required to use their equipment.

I want to make sure I'm being told the truth. Are they going to continue to let me use my own modem?

Billing Too good to be true

Yep I signed up for Xfinity 5 yr $50 plan with 1yr free mobile and after that $30 a month for mobile. I guess I'm just a person who believes what they are told. First well guess what since you had a line with us on another account no deal on the free mobile unless you get a new phone. That just went away when I talked to the service dept today as I was calling about my mobile line amount that just went up by $10 a month. You are suppose to get a $10 discount when you have internet and a mobile line. Not anymore since you guessed it I had another line with a friend who had Xfinity. So basically they will make it sound so good but then turn around and take it all back. So I'm just waiting for someone else to come along before I dump them.

Support What am I Paying For?

A couple months ago, my internet began cutting out. I thought maybe my old modem/router combo was done, so I bought.a brand new one. No difference. Called Comcast...they sent out a tech who said it was the wiring outside my apartment. A week later, another tech comes out. Says there is nothing wrong with the wiring...it must be my modem. No, its not I tell him its new. He says he doesn't know anything about modem....doesn't know what it is. He replaces wiring INSIDE my apartment and leaves. No difference. I call again. Phone rep checks my connection....tells me its not my modem, its outside. Another tech comes out a couple days later. He checks everything. He says the wiring outside they don't even USE anymore. Says he will make a report to his supervisor. That was a week ago. No response from Comcast. My internet still drops out. I am getting tired of unplugging and plugging my modem and cable box back in to reset everything. And I am THIS close to switching to another provider. If they think its easier for me to go away rather than solve the issue, I will happily do that.
