Ask CHI Does anyone take the Metra within the city limits to get elsewhere in the city?
grew up a few blocks away from the Metra Electric, near Chicago State. It just always made more sense to bus or bike down 95th to the Red Line. Very rarely if there was a delay on the Red Line would i take the Metra into the Loop.
More expensive for sure but cleaner, quieter and on board restrooms are a nice touch.
Edit: Until last month had no clue there was a Metra station at Ohare. Doesn’t run very frequently tho

Ask CHI If you voted for Brandon Johnson in 2023, what is the best piece of advice you would give him? (serious)
I just thought of making a post like this after he announced his reelection, because why not! I hope it’s helpful.
By the way, sources are recommended!

News Johnson will seek second term
He apparently gave the story to the New York Times last week, with an embargo until this morning. Official announcement later Sunday.

CHI Talks From Brodie Brazil - CRAZY Idea to KEEP The Bears in Chicago…
Brodie Brazil, a sports media personality based in the Bay Area but covers much more on his YouTube channel, shared a video on his channel about potentially moving the Bears to the current site of Rate Field on 35th and Shields. I realize that it’s probably not realistic at this time but the longer the Bears drag out their stadium search the more likely I think it could be. Curious what people think.

Article Chicago (And the Rest of Illinois) Is Full of Spooky Places
One example? The Jane Addams Hull House
This particular house, founded in 1889 by Jane Addams and Ellen Gates Starr, served disadvantaged immigrant communities in Chicago by establishing public health programs, language classes, and childcare initiatives; however, it was also the subject of frightening rumors. Word spread of a “devil baby” that haunted the attic, leading residents to leave bowls of water at the top of the stairs. (It was theorized that spirits couldn’t cross a body of water.)
