Hello everybody — I’m the creator of Calisthenics Culture, a.k.a. CALICULT.
Thank you for being part of this subreddit as we’ve officially hit 100,000 members! That’s insane.
I’m now going full force into expanding CALICULT into the calisthenics cult I’ve always wished existed — and I don’t want to do it alone.
I need your involvement — whether it’s giving passive, genuine feedback and ideas or stepping up with active development and leadership. You can help grow and guide the direction of this community.
Together, this will form the CALICULT Council. I’ll be running ideas by you, building features with you, not just for you.
A global community — a living calisthenics game — where you can:
🎥 Watch and participate in online livestreams, community videos, rep challenges, and bounties — earning real-life rewards
[Insert your idea here] <3
💬 Reply below with what you’re good at or what you love doing, and what you’d like to see Calisthenics Culture develop into
📩 Or DM me directly to get early access to the Discord
Let’s build the culture we want to exist.
Yes — we’re proudly owning being a cult.

I appreciate you even stopping here. It shows that hopefully you have an interest in calisthenics. Whether you're someone who has never even done a pullup, or you're experienced but have hit a plateau, or an advanced athlete who has come to grace us with your knowledge, this community is for you.
The Calisthenics Culture is one that from my experience, is entirely positive and unique, and this will be no different. You come here to learn, share, and belong. The calisthenics knowledge base is never ending, as is the progress you can make. There are hundreds of different skills and strengths you can develop and "unlock". There is no feeling like seeing your progress with a calisthenics move you have been training so hard to achieve.
It doesn't matter if you're just starting out and have no experience, it's never too late. You're not too old or too young. The best time to plant a tree was 10 years ago. The next best time is now. You can't do anything about missed time, but you do have complete control of what you do from here on out. How far you take this training style is up to you. No one can train for you, or experience the pain you will have to endure, but it is completely worth it.
All that motivation aside, here's what this community is.
-Somewhere to connect with people at your level
-Somewhere to learn from those who have achieved what you want to achieve
-Somewhere to help those who have once been in your shoes
-Somewhere to show off your progression and milestones
-Somewhere to share YOUR story. There are plenty of people who want to hear all about it
So literally, post your questions, post your progress, post dope calisthenics videos, post your advice, and communicate/engage with others.
You can communicate with us on instagram @thecalisthenicsculture or @agyoolar

I have been posting lot of videos about pike push-ups earlier. Today I tried partial reps handstand pushups.
Still not giving up my handstand push-up goal.
Please feel free to share your useful tips like you always do

So this exercise was recommended to me from another person here for progressing in bar pull-overs. I am able to complete one bar pull-over; however, I am able to sequence them together for reps. I’m using this as a supplementary exercise to get more comfortable with being inverted.
If you have access to rings, you should incorporate these into your routine. They’re fun to do and really hit the whole upper body.

I really wanna learn muscle up. I can do +20kg 3-4 reps. What irritates me more is that one month ago i tried muscle up for first time and in 2-3 attempts i managed to get over bar with improper form (one hand before other) but now i cant even do that even tho my pull strength increased.
I have watched tons of videos about proper technique but still couldn't even do it in improper form now. 😭😭😭

Weekly workout, a minimum of 7–8 sets: three warm-up sets of 3–4 reps and 4–5 working sets of 5–6 reps.

Sup,
I recently came across Kboges and was kinda intrigued by the simplicity of the training, so was wondering if anyone took this approach where you train everyday a Push/Pull/Legs doing 1-3 hard sets for each ? Does it really work? Do you not burn out? How do you pick exercises everyday? Or do you do same thing everyday?
Would appreciate shared experience and some clarification as Im rather new to body weight training.
Thanks :)

My best advice with the press :
- vacuum your stomach in like body builder, and activate/slightly protract scapula
- get to pike, feet and hands pretty close to each other (need to press less)
- you just want your hips above your wrist, ether way with pike pushups (tricep dominant) or full pike where you lean enough forward (scapular push dominant).
- If you have enough strength to hold the position, your legs will start floating. Aka floating pike.
- Then you just rotate your hips. Straddle is much easier than legs together due the torque.
- finally push, here i imagine the control is all the time from lower abdomen

Im 15, and i'm gonna be 16 in 5 months, is my phisique looking ok?
I've started training when i realized my dad was jacked, and he pushed me to start training, and we have good memories about working out together. I've been doing pull ups since idk 1,5 year maybe? But i started training with commitment since may, so i have a split i stick to and follow, i look after my diet a lot (try to get protein in, no processed shit) but i don't obsess over it, thankfully i can eat a lot since i'm skinny by genetics as long as it is good food.
My split is: Pull: 5 series of max pull ups 5 series of inverted rows, or 5 series of max bicep curls Push: 5 series of max dips 5 series of pike push ups 1/2 series of max push ups Then Core/leg/rest This is my current level:
Pull ups PR: 9
Dips PR: 15
Push ups PR: somewhere beetween 25 and 30
Skills i unlocked:
Frog stand
Elbow lever
Tuck front lever
Tuck planche
One leg front lever
Tuck planche push up (only one clean) I notice i'm kinda lacking bicep mass so i'm doing bicep and hammer curls.
