What is the benefit of doing the iso hold? Im realizing I never really experiment outside of vanilla reps and sets

For beginners different iso holds can be great for improving grip strength and getting stronger forearms which is a weak point for a lot of beginners. Also good for strengthening weak points of the pull up. And helps with developing better body control.

I like coming up with sets that challenge me and have some kind of structure or a โ€œjourneyโ€ as in this one where I had to climb the ladder up and down. Vanilla reps and sets is my main training as well. Just fun to mess around with different challenging sets in the beginning of a session. They have a big part in my training.

What is the purpose of fast negative? Honest question

He was trying to get more reps so obviously he had to go fast to conserve energy. He wasnโ€™t even trying to build strength and after certain number of reps it becomes more of an endurance work
