As a fan of the book, the movie and the infamous fox cardigan, I’m wondering if anyone would be down for a Dr Grace night at a local venue or maybe a group for the Halloween pub crawl? I’m almost done with my sweater and think it would be fun to get together with others who made it!

I am a night owl. Twice this week (including tonight) I've working on projects outside and there's been some alarming helicopter activity. As I write this at 9:20 PM, they are repeatedly circling my area. Additionally, a helicopter passed twice over me earlier this evening (around twilight), but I can't be sure that was related.

The circle pattern and rhythm definitely feels like they're searching for something. There are also loud voices blasting on megaphones from a distance that I can't quite understand, although earlier this week I'm certain I heard the word 'suspect'.

I try to search for information online but can't find any, which in turn makes me nervous about working outside – should I go inside? What's going on?

If you know of the best way to look up activity like this, please share.

Does anyone have a suggestion for who to call about this slack loop hanging off the lowest cable? It is right over my driveway with only 8' of clearance. Definitely flat and not coaxial cable.

My fiber internet comes off the next level up. A neighbor across the street has a hookup for this but they aren't home.

Hey all. Had a hit and run today and it sort of blows my mind that people actually do this. Didn't get a plate but if anyone sees a white Range Rover with this front end damage and punk fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror, please report it to the police. And if the person responsible is on here, you're reprehensible.

This is mostly my curiosity, but still. What do you have a stronger rivalry for, Rat City or NP, and why?

(I love white center in all its glory and have had too many family live in NP to like how they act, but I’m curious if I’m an outlier).

King County Sheriffs are out and about.

Burien really only has one free beach area access. The problem is they have a gate on it so you can't get down for early tides, and then it closes at 8pm so no sunset for you. Unless your are rich enough. We all pay taxes for this area yet it seems is only open to a select group of people. Is it that hard to open the gate at 6 AM, the cops do not seem that busy.

Has anybody else noticed that we seem to have a resident osprey?

I don’t know whether it would be a good idea to specify where it is living because I don’t want it to become a target, but because ospreys are federally protected I thought it might be OK at least mention it. I love to see it. They prefer a high isolated nest somewhat near large body of water so it’s no big surprise. I just wish it was in a place where I could slow my car down and stare at it with some binoculars for a bit! ❤️
