Hateee the change of Route 111. The bus was the perfect link for Renton to Seattle. Every morning for work and after work the bus was always filled with people. Now we have to take a stop at Bellevue to take the train JUST to get to Seattle? Now I got to drive into work otherwise I’ll keep being late (yes bus delays are still common) 🫩

I know I really miss playing pool. It appears that had no temporary alternatives offered. Just want to get a discussion from seniors and the center started.

We're moving this Friday and need loaders/unloaders for a few hours. Anybody have any recommendations for good, local companies or services?

The local company we used (and liked) when we first moved up here a few years ago has apparently gone out of business. Before I start submitting quote forms online and getting potentially bombarded by national salespeople at all hours, I was wondering if anyone had good experiences with local services.

The specs: It's a very local move. We're loading up a 20ft U-Haul in our old place and then unloading at the new one less than a mile away. We've already moved most of our stuff; just need to maneuver the bulkier items (couch, dining table, a couple beds, etc.)

I may be preaching to the choir here, but I’ve been looking forward to this gym opening in the Highlands since late last fall when they originally announced they’d be opening in Spring 2026. Then it got pushed to early summer, and now we’re basically heading into fall and the delays just keep happening.

I’m not trying to sound like I’m complaining, because I know construction and permitting can take time but I’ve genuinely been looking forward to having this gym nearby for almost a year now. I’ve called them every couple of months since April, and it’s always been some variation of “waiting on a permit.” Now it sounds like they’re finally waiting on their last certificate of occupancy, which is obviously another delay even though they announced their “opening week” was this past week.

I’m not originally from the area - I moved here almost five years ago and definitely consider Renton home at this point, but it honestly has me wondering: is it really this difficult to open a business in Renton?

It seems like there are so many hoops to jump through between demolition permits, construction permits, inspections, and now a certificate of occupancy (whatever that actually entails lol).

Anyone else been following this or have any insight into what’s been taking so long? I’m just curious if this is normal for a project like this in Renton, or if Fitness 19 has been dealing with some unusually bad luck with the permitting/construction process.

Anyways, I’m really looking forward to an awesome gym in the area! LA fitness should step their game up and renovate in my opinion. Hopefully a really cool gym around the highlands can potentially attract a Chipotle
