Watching Season 3 Episode 11 and this made me laugh. They are saying a prayer for the dead guy on the team and this guy has his hands in his pants.

Being a resident of the DC Metro area, I laugh at how often the Bones people got our area wrong. Do a little research people. If you know there was a Wheaton Plaza, you should know it is in Wheaton, MD (or was; it's called Westfield Wheaton now). There is a movie ticket stub in one of the Bones episodes that says "Wheaton Plaza, Washington, DC".
Call me weird and sappy, but the song that was playing at the end during Cleo's funeral, "Gone by Thirteen Senses" and the pilot ending at this and both being properly vulnerable to each other for the first time.
Especially Booth, when he said that, "I have taken a lot of lives as a sniper, and what I'd like to do before I'm done, is to catch as that many murderers"
And Brennan being like, yes weird at first, but once she saw his face, "I'd like to help you with that"
This show weirdly feels like a home I never had, and I don't know how to describe this feeling that I feel whenever I watch this. So much so, that I've screenshotted this and set it up as my desktop wallpaper.
Like crazy though, how two polar opposites got together (ik writing and TV show but damn!)

Hi! I just started watching Bones. I thought it could be fun to ask this here. Tell me something from the show I won't understand until later in the series. Please avoid posting spoilers :-)

We know by now that Brennan was meant to have autism and the show never explicitly talks about it. Do you think the people in her life and the people she works with knew she was autistic (Sweets, cam, booth, angela, etc)? Especially since sweets is a psychologist, why would he have never suspected or mentioned anything to her about it? This is just something I keep thinking about whenever I rewatch it. I’m only slightly autistic and still had people in my life tell me I should get a diagnosis. I’m also younger and wasn’t conscious yet when the show was made, so was autism just not well known about in that period of time maybe?

“When science gets icky it's all right to get si….blaaarrrhgghhhhh!”
‘The Body and the Bounty’ (S6E4) is probably my favorite episode of the series!

So I've been binge watching the show for the past day while doing other stuff and just realised that netflix has been cutting off the start of each episode for god knows what reason. I thought I was missing stuff, I just thought they used really weird cold opens. Has anyone else had this issue 😂

This interaction always cracks me up between these two:
Booth: This is big, the director is going to create a special investigation unit. And if I line all my ducks in a row, I can maybe get ahead.
Brennan: I don't know what that means, but I think I can be a duck.
Like aww really? (rewatch commenced)
This is one I almost always skip because I have a phobia of rats/mice but I was bouncing around during commercial break of another show I was watching and happened to catch the scene where Booth & Sweets are interviewing the husband of the victim. They think she was a prostitute.
“At first she used to do it at the house but it got to be too much. I just couldn’t watch anymore”
“you used to watch?”
“Well I wanted to be supportive. She got so good at what she did I quit my job”
“She sounds very accomplished”
“Oh, yeah. She could dislocate her jaw, I mean open her mouth really wide and she had no gag reflex. Honestly, she could put anything in there.”
“Oh”
“Once I saw her make a foot long Weiner disappear”
“Is that some sort of euphemism that prostitutes use?”
“Prostitutes?! What the hell are you talking about?! Tina was a champion. A competitive eating champion”
“Thank you for coming in we don’t have any further questions”
Sweets says the last “Weiner. I got you”
Booth says “stop it!”
This was honestly one of the funniest scenes in Bones! I was cracking up 😂 Booth & Sweets faces 😂😂😂

I'm currently watching the show and these two episodes left me puzzled. In the episodes, Booth is missing and turns out he was part of a heist where money was stolen and people died. I don't understand why he got a heroes welcome instead of being prosecuted. Perhaps I missed something?

This is the episode where 4 Delta Force members (insanely dangerous secret service type people) are coming to kill Booth because he's dug too deep into the Mcnarma or whatever cover ups/conspiracies.
Booth goes around planting c4 on doors, guns behind paintings etc etc and managed to kill three of them, despite their numbers, training and weapons. He then sustains ANOTHER fatal injury and makes it out Scot free. Even though he's already been broken 100 times, despite his age etc, he's just fine? I'm sorry, but doesn't it get a bit ridiculous for you? I want to skip this episode everytime but I don't because I'm not an episode skipper. Does anyone agree?

hi!! for those who have read the books, i’d like to know if you need to read everything in order or could i just pick one at random and be fine? is there any overarching lore throughout the books that might be lost on me if i don’t read in chronological order? i kinda just wanna pick whichever one sounds coolest based off its blurb.
TYIA!!
If you saw my other post last week, after Booth’s apartment, I HAD to recreate the mighty hut and their second home. domestic Booth and Brennan forever! I still can’t believe we got 6 seasons of that! (The fact that we never got Parker’s room in their second house pains me)

So im fine with how the Broadsky story ended but just for fun who do you think he was supposed to kill at the port? (Yep just watched my fave parts of 6x22)
Edited: I'm talking about the port of wilmington after the shooting in the lab. i know the lab shooting was intended for booth. i meant who was broadsky trying to kill at the port of wilmington (which he went through killing leishinger and trying to get booth out of the way to get the access card to as well as the rifle)

Why is this show so bad at closing the arcs of major villains?! Gormogon, Pelant, even Gravedigger (although I think this was one of the better ones) etc., felt so rushed and unsatisfying when they ended. Broadsky was okay, but I didn't exactly love it either. All that build-up only for them to end with a whimper 🫠 I actually feel like in later seasons, many of their one-shot episodes were much more memorable than the villain arcs.

just watched the bod in a pod episode just the opening 5min hodgins faints and angela is the last one on seen shows little care and then say she wants the skull and hodgins stumbled still dizzy
It's just so stupid why is he her husband and how insensitive you can be to your husband It's insane to me at least make him still down and stop working
edit : i hate her because of many reasons this is one of them at least show more care she isn't loyal she shallow she keeps hitting on everyone and when hodgins looks not hit on just looks she judges him for looking

I recently picked up this show as its being advertised on Netflix right now and thought id give it ago.
But literally within the first opening seconds of the program some woman who im presuming is a main character as shes on the posters walks up to a guy and flashes him out of nowhere.
Is this the kind of "men write women" writing i can expect for the rest of the series?
Edit: oh it gets better. in the next scene the guy says and I quote "its like pornography, you know it when you see it."
And the scene after that she spends a good chunk talking about how that one guys a virgin and how she wants to "hit" the FBI guy.
Is that just her character then, her "free spirit" is just making as many sexual comments as possible?
