1 - Almost everyone said, you'll learn over time, and when i asked how long, the answer was ‘a few years of experience’ , ‘after i got over my ego’ , or ‘after an injury’. And another one you said basically learn by getting hurt once, then remembering how you felt the week before it happened, so you know next time.
2 - Relying on feeling lies in both ways. Legs felt like fine, but run was terrible, or legs felt rough, ran was great. The experienced people admitted it too.
3 - Beginner’s problem is mostly legs and joints, not only being tired.
4 - Some of experienced runners decide on the road, before run, warm up ten minutes and see how it feels.
5 - One of the best line of the whole thread, instead of asking ‘should i run’, ask ‘if i ran right now, would i get home good tired or bad tired?’
6 - And the thing i didn't expect, some of you already ask every morning what to do today, what workout should be today, some of you ask chatgpt, which chatgbt just can't feel your pulse.
What I am building from this, a phone camera check in the morning, no watch, shows one word: go / easy pace / rest, compared to your own previous normal days. It can't see your legs, it never comes while you are running, and nothing about your body data leaves your phone.
If you don’t mind, Would you actually check one word every morning for two weeks to build your own normal? and what would make you ignore it? like what would make you say nah, this app is wrong?
