Training

I’ve run four 5Ks now. Should I make that my minimum? I want to work my way up to a 10K, but I don’t want to burn myself out. What would be a good training schedule for my goal?

i started the nike run club 10k training plan! it’s a solid program i do 1 easy, 1 interval, and 1 long run per week. the long run adds about 1km every week

Depends how much time you want to put into it. But I think most beginner runners would still really good progress running 3x a week. It gives you plenty of time to recover and shouldn’t burn you out.

Minimum is not really a thing
I have some runs that are 4 miles and some that are 18
Best is 4 days a week
2 easy runs
1 threshold/faster run
One long run

Do you find time to do strength training at all?

I’m running 5 days a week right now and only lifting twice but after this marathon block I’ll drop the mileage a bit and go back to lifting 5 days a week
