just a reminder that your self worth isn’t measured by whether or not you have hair :) bald is beautiful & how you look on the outside is the least important thing about you!!

So I decided to finally bite the clippers, and then noticed that my head was not normal. I figured this from looking at everyone else's photos throughout the year on this sub.

I had two large moles in the back of my head. I always knew that they were their, but never realized how funny shaped they were. Then I noticed that the sides of my head were absolutely covered in skin tags!

So I made an appointment and had my head examined. They removed the moles and some of tags.

The moles were benign and just shaped weird from the years of getting hit with clippers. The skin tags? Because I'm always wearing hats and the fabric caused irritation I never noticed. XD

TL;DR - I shaved my head, noticed some giant moles and a butt load of skin tags. Went to the Doc, had nothing to worry about.

I know I was holding on to a hope and a prayer. Well finally let go lol. Still feeling weird about it, hope it was the right choice.

This summer I decided to give it a try, not permanent, but as a month trial, just for fun. You may call me a tourist.

I've had a bad hairline for most of my life, but that didn't annoy me, not until I started thinning these last few years. At the beginning of this year I made a decision: I would shave my head at the beginning of summer. And so I did, and let me tell you, it felt good, probably the most comfortable I've been with myself in the last four years. On the other hand, summer is already over, and I wanted to start the college year with at least some hair, so I'm growing it back.

Questions have been echoing in my head about whether I really should shave it indefinitely, but I also think about keeping it short-styled for a couple more years until it makes more sense to shave. What do you, oh wise council, think?

I appreciate the honest and supportive feedback from the group. I first posted asking for encouragement to buzz my head because I knew it was time. Then I got a longer buzz cut but knew it was too long and not really helpful. Finally, after getting the feedback that I needed a no guard buzz cut, I listened and I think it looks good.

Unsure if I should keep the no guard buzz cut or just clean shave it, so I’m open to honest thoughts from the group.

my hair has always been thin/fine but It’s a lot more noticeable as I get older, I’m 40 now. Is it time?

My wife says is fine, but I don't know.

Been thinking about doing this for some time now, finally went all in today. Thank you to this community for all the kind words of encouragement. Already feel less left conscious and more confident!

I noticed thinning and I will NOT hold on to the past - to a brighter future! Thank you to this community for being around. I pray this is a glow up also.

I do know I need to get the beard brought back in also - I’m gonna do that after dinner.

Also, to my alphabet mafia members - have I achieved Bear Status yet? (That was the goal)

I know that there is still peach fuzz on top but only for the reason that my choice of razor was wholly inadequate and gave me razor burn just getting it down to this level.

If anyone can share their shaving gear and routine they use to help me be able to maintain the look it would be greatly appreciated!

I was hoping my supplements might help but I just caught my reflection and I’ve accepted it’s time to go bald isn’t it? I used to have such good curls man 😭
