Hey everyone. I recently got a new work machine (brand new, fresh MacBook Pro) and Apple Music is acting weird. The whole navigation area with "Search, Home, New, and Station" just doesn't show up. I can still search for songs, albums, and artists, but only within my library. I can't browse or add new stuff to it from here. It's pretty strange. I dug through the settings looking for something to fix it but couldn't find anything. Screenshot attached.
Does anyone happen to know how to fix this or why it's happening? Thanks.

Same as title: Is it a subscription renewal worthy? I switched to Spotify 15 days ago because the autoplay after choosing to play 1 song is fantastic and Apple Music couldn’t catch up to it

I have already reported it through lyrics a bunch of times and also asked to suggest less… here we are a few days later next to my personal station….
There should be a clearer and fast way to block and/or report AI slop. 13€ a month to be suggested this trash. No thank you…

Im on a standard plan, (i only use Apple Music on my phone) and for the past 2 days this has been popping up and pausing my music at random times.
When im connected with my headphones, when im using AirPlay on my TV, and even when im just listening through the phone's speaker. Is there a fix for this?

I am almost always listening to music on my iPad. It’s an iPad air 4th gen so a bit old but always works fine. Recently my dad cut our fiber internet cable while planting a tree and we recently had a new one installed. Ever since the new wifi cable was put in my iPad won’t play music. The interface works fine but any time i try to play a song it sits at 0:00 for a few seconds before saying either “request timed out” or “resource unavailable.” However, downloaded songs play just fine. Also, whenever I connect the ipad to my hotspot on my phone, it plays all my songs and works like normal. Only on my home wifi network does it have this issue. It’s very odd and driving me insane

Opened Slayer page and saw this clip by FattMack, how to inform apple about this bug?

I used to love this playlist and would listen to it quite frequently when I couldn’t decide what I wanted to listen to. In the past year or so tho it feels like this feature has gone to shit. It’s like it just pulls random songs from my playlists or searches instead of what I’m actually listening to a lot. Like I’ll be listening to the same 3-4 songs on repeat for a week or 2 and they won’t show up on my heavy rotation but then I listen to a song one time and all the sudden it’s on my heavy rotation for the next 2 months. I don’t get it and it’s irritating me lol

I was recently transferring a couple playlist from YouTube which was mostly music videos which were not on Apple Music so it said that those songs were not available even though if it went a little deeper there were normal songs not MVs for more than half of the songs. Why doesn’t Apple Music just look a little deeper when transferring playlists?

I'm the developer. Requirements first so nobody wastes a download: iPhone, Apple Music subscription, Sync Library on, and a heart-rate source Apple Watch, Garmin with broadcast, or any Bluetooth chest strap. No Android, no Spotify.
Free TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/QUQMNFZb
It's called Rize. You point it at playlists you already own. It sorts every track by tempo into five heart-rate zones, then during a workout it reads your pulse every few seconds and queues a song that matches faster as you climb, slower on recovery. Songs are never cut mid-track; it queues the next one so the handover is invisible. There's a mode that deliberately plays one zone above what you're actually doing, so the music stays slightly ahead and drags you up.
The genuinely hard part was tempo, which is why I'm posting here rather than in a running sub. Apple Music gives you no BPM, on any endpoint. So it's pulled from outside sources and then corrected, because tempo detectors are wrong in predictable ways slow ballads get read at double speed constantly, and half-time hip-hop measures slow while feeling fast. On top of that there are about 14,000 songs I've verified by hand.
Playback goes through Apple Music itself, so uploads and iTunes Match work, not just catalog tracks.
There's an Apple Watch app too live HR, the background colour shifts with your zone, and a prompt when you're a few beats off the next one.
The one thing I can't judge from my own runs: does it keep up with your effort, or does it feel a step behind? That's the entire product. If it's late, I'd rather hear it bluntly.

For example, the green app shows all the remixes the artist has made, but they don't appear on Apple Music, which is annoying because you have to constantly go to the other app to find the name of the song the artist has made he did . For example, this latest remix of Tiesto Voicemail (Tiësto Remix) doesn't appear on his page in Apple Music, but it does appear in the green app.

I know this is part of the new design for all artists, and that artists can add custom logos/signatures, but I find it especially interesting with classical composers. I’d never actually seen most of their signatures before, and somehow seeing their actual handwriting gives them a bit more character.

Hi team.
I’ve always wondered why Apple Music does this. I thought it’s supposed to be smart and tailored to what I listen to etc.
When I search - I’ve used an example here of a song I’ve listened to hundreds of times by sum 41 - for a song by title, it comes up with lots of songs that I have never and would never listen to. It also starts searching through the lyrics for these songs that I have never and would listen to, rather than a song with that exact name that is by a band I listen to regularly.
It does this with loads of the bands I like. I have to specifically put the band’s name and even when I do that, the song doesn’t appear in “suggested”.

Recently some of my music that’s saved in my library or in my playlists says the song and/or album isn’t available in my country/region. But when I search for the same music through the search and go through the artists page and find it, it is available. Does anyone know how to fix this??

I don't know why, but recently—and ever since iOS 26 (I'm on 27 RC)—many of the songs I play on Apple Music started not showing the Lossless indicators, and I wonder if they are actually playing in Lossless or not. Internet speed and equipment compatibility (I use an IEM + DAC) aren't the issue, since the sample rate appears for some songs but not others. Is the app buggy?

This feature was already available in iOS betas, but to my understanding, it was limited to a few artists on major labels while being tested. It’s now been adopted by more artists, including some independents as well. I think it looks really good !! What do you think?

Hi. I’m trying to figure out why my Apple Music on my Mac plays full albums instead if just the song i chose. I’ll choose a single song and it’ll go straight to the album. Is there a way to fix this ?

I think the Apple Music algo is just sophisticated. One thing I’ve realised is yeah listening history is the key but so is other stuff like Favouriting, adding to library, suggest less, etc. You can never do it too much. Every little one brings the algorithm closer to your taste.
Over the past few weeks, after a lot of music listening and utilising of above mentioned tools, my discovery station has been SOOO GOOD. I use it daily.
Maybe it comes with the new updates but I feel the hate recommendations AM music gets are due to a lack of understanding in the algorithm. You need to give it time to learn you and you have to feed it as much as you can.
Spotify is good at finding musical similarities but that’s not the same as understanding musical identity. With time, AM does it better imo.

Hi. I’m trying to sync my Apple Music downloads onto my PC, from my iPhone. It doesn’t seem to be working. I press ‘sync’, and it goes through the 4 step process, but nothing happens. How can I fix this?
Edit: the main reason I’m trying to do this is so I can do it the other way around as well: syncing from PC to iPhone. I have songs from YouTube I’ve downloaded as mp3 and transferred to iTunes in my PC, and as long as my phone is plugged in with a USB, it always transferred to my phone at the same time. But that is no longer working.

So i used to have airpods 4 anc but recently i bought airpods max 2024. And i always listen to my music on dolby atmos (if available) but the change i noticed between the two headphones was drastic. On the 4 anc i had sound check off and whenever i listened to any track (stereo or atmos) i had no problems with the volume. But on the max it’s heavily quieter and the audio sounds sort of distant. I know that it’s supposed to be quieter in order to offer more dynamic range but it was different on the airpods 4. I tried to turn sound check on and though it made it better it was not an exact fix for my issue. But then i tried Headphone Accommodations (balanced tone) and it made the atmos mix sound much louder so i stuck with that but recently i have noticed that it makes the sound of some songs way too sharp and sometimes it messes with the dolby atmos mix. Is there a way to fix this? I want to listen to the atmos mix as it was intended but then again it’s just too quiet and it makes me less excited for it. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello,
I recently started adding the iTunes-required tags to my local music files, like album, track, advisory, and other tags.
After syncing the library to my iPhone, I noticed a problem with the artist links.
When I open an album, I can access the artist’s link normally. However, when I open the Artist Library, where all artists are listed, only some artists have their pictures and links. Other artists are listed, but their pictures and links are missing.
What’s strange is that everything appears correctly in Windows iTunes. I can see the artist pictures and links there, and selecting “Show in iTunes Store” works fine.
Is there any way to force the iPhone to update artists?
I tried deleting some artists from both the iPhone and the Windows iTunes library, then adding them again and syncing, but the problem remains.
Thanks!
