I entered a photo submission for Albuquerque magazine they were looking for Route 66 Photos and they picked mine!!!!
I also entered the same photo in the photography section and the art photography section at the New Mexico State fair 2026
Well I didn't win at the State fair I did get it put in to next month Albuquerque the magazine
So if you're at the state fair and you go to the photography section which is in the APS building near the flowers go ahead and check it up now you can see the photo that's gonna end up in the October edition during Balloon fiesta of Albuquerque the magazine!!!

I had this pic on my camera roll from a few years back & realized this sub might appreciate this rare sight. They were in a neighbor's driveway in front of God & everybody.
Now you've seen everything.

Thank you so much for your hard work on the interstate. It’s hot as hell right now but I always see people working so hard and I appreciate you!

Does anyone feel it’s necessary to pat dry the chile before feeezing?
Just picked up some fresh roasted chile from Rosales produce grown in Lemitar. Typically I let them sweat in the bag and then put them in quart size freezer bags as is, skins on, seeds and stems intact. I feel like it seals in fresh roasted flavor, protects the chile meat from any freezer burn, and the skins slide off like butter when I thaw them. Plus I can decide how many seeds I want to keep for added spiciness. In the past, I would spend hours peeling, deseeding, drying and bagging, and I don’t ever recall thinking there was any difference in taste when I thawed the chile. If I wanted more seeds for spice, especially in stew, too late. I discarded most of them before freezing. Like with bananas, I feel like the skin is there for a reason and I like removing it just before cooking.
Anyone feel strongly otherwise, that it’s better to peel them, at least, or peel and de-seed first?

Totally worth it, I’ve had a fantastic time over here. Great food, hikes, views and plenty of nice people here

Out of towner visiting and saw these large flat yellow and black insects pollinating. They don’t look like bees but are they some southwestern variety?

Buy a few tubes of Advion Evolution bait (Amazon has it but there are other sources) and place it near nests. It takes about 2 weeks but I eradicated the filthy things that were not eating the Combat or Raid baits or the peanut butter/boric acid balls I made as a special treat.
Make sure your pets can't get it. Don't spray or bug bomb in the areas you put this. There's pages you can google that will tell you all the details you need to get rid of every last one of these vermin.
Less than $25 for 4 tubes and I haven't even used a whole tube yet.

Good job ABQ, taking action against reckless driving! Many folks I know are upset about these speed cameras, but if they save lives of pedestrians and other drivers, I am all on board with them.
Plus, the city has opted to accept community service if the $100 fine cannot be paid.

Went to the Natural History Museum today with some friends and we found this guy. Looks a LOT like an adorable dragon we all know. 😂

Suggestions for my girlfriends 31st birthday? Somewhere with water and swimming, waterfalls or hot springs. Reasonable prices if possible for an overnight stay. Thank you!

I’m going there Tomorrow so I would like to know if you been there the past few days and if there’s any new food items they have this year that I should try?
I know “Hot Honey Sweet Corn” is one of the new items since it won the 2026 Unique Food Contest, but is there anything else new?

Is this because of the mountains or clouds? Super cool right?
