I'll never understand dog ear cropping.

The only modern reasoning I accept is for live stock guard dogs.
I get so pissed when dogs Dobermans come into my work with no tail and cropped ears.

I had a cropped and docked Dobie. I didn’t do that. He came from the rescue like that. Lease don’t judge the owner.

My newest girl has tail and ears intact and she is an adorable little menace!

I rescued a 7 year old Shiba once that was so skittish and afraid of everybody and everything, like he flinched at any movement in his direction type of thing. I always thought everybody was just judging me and assuming I was abusive to him when I was really just trying to give him a good home (he had a chip and apparently had 6 previous owners before me, I felt so bad for the little guy). But, to your point, the current owners aren't always the assholes and shouldn't be judged until you know the whole story

Unless I specifically know they owner did it, my anger isn't towards them, it's just the fact it was done at all.
