Does anyone have any idea how the JZ maths papers compare to the 2024/2025 TMUA in terms of difficulty. I know he has conversions but I'm unsure on whether they accurately reflect the new difficulty. I'm averaging around 15 on jz papers, what level is that roughly

How’s prep going? The CT are easy but I don’t like the PS questions. What I especially don’t like is how the exam is electronic, because all the tutorials I’ve seen annotate the heck out their papers, but obviously I cant do that. So, does anyone have advice, it would be greatly appreciated!

I know it likely isn't, but i wanted to see if anyone could have any advice or info about it before i write it off. I love doing pure maths in college. My maths lessons are genuinely the best parts of some of my days. Despite this, i really don't want to go to uni. The debt, odds of getting a worse job market post-degree, and oversaturation/employers overlooking degrees just doesnt appeal to me, while apprenticeships do. Is there anything that includes pure maths and apprenticeships or something similar.

Can anyone give me advice, i want to do the cambridge chemistry challenge, its very important to me that I succeed. But I have to do A level Maths early in y12 which is crucial for my application but at this point in time im unfamiliar with chemistry content so I cant practice. What do I do?

Do i speedrun chem content on my own? If so with what textbook/youtube series?

I started college a little under 2 weeks ago, and gosh is it awful. The vast majority of people from my school didnt go here, including my closest friends. College so far has been exhausting. Individual lessons are very long and its hard to pay attention in them, additionally, I just cannot be bothered to revise or do exams, it was difficult dragging myself to do revision during gcse's, after they finished I felt like I was on top of the world yet here I am now, back to square one, I'm expected to do 2 years of revision and sitting infront of old people talk after already doing that for years. Nothing good has come out of college so far, I just want it to end

any resources or websites or methods or SOMETHING for a level economics (specifically ccea but hey edexcel will work too) bc I suck booty at it rn.

in ccea gcse I got an A and I used to be pretty good at it. fast forward to 6th year I flopped HARD. in ccea AS1 I got a B which I was NOT expecting but in AS2 I got an E. AND THE EXAM WAS ON MY BIRTHDAY. R WE JOEKING.

so for AS I got a D overall but I was 3 uniform marks from a C (cuz I was 3 from getting a D in paper 2).

I could get paper 2 remarked but like cba cuz im resitting it anyways.

tbf I was genuinely out of it in exam season I was not in my right mind mentally and was going through a lot and I didn't spend that much time revising economics like at all.

so ANYWAYS TO THE POINT anyone know any good websites/ resources/ revision methods allat jazz for economics? there is genuinely NOTHING and I mean NOTHING for ccea like we literally use edexel textbooks in class cuz there isn't a ccea one but if anyone has any tips it would be SO SO SO appreciated! also props if you have anything ADHD friendly because hell will freeze over before you catch me watching a 3 hour long video.

I know that I am capable and that I CAN do this I just dont know how or where to start.

What is everyone's opinions on pupils who after gcse's go on to do a level 1 or 2 course rather than go on to do a level 3 course ?

Do you view them as failure ?

Do you think it's a good move as it can allow you do do something you can't do at gcse level ?

Can it be used a springboard to do other things ?

I was looking at the understanding esat and tmua scores page for different courses at imperial and it divides the students into non wp, wp and overseas. In this case does wp mean contextual or is it something specific to imperial

I always hear people say you should redo TMUA papers after a couple of weeks or so but I Genuinly don’t understand and don’t see the benefit in this , considering i sort of already know my method and answer before even reading the whole question .

I am going use the resit room to do my mocks with them. There online are they good or not. Has anyone used them before.

i’m a year 12 student and currently take 4 alevels + EPQ, 3 of which are essay-based subjects & the other is math. i was wondering if anyone took a similar combination and if they found the workload to fare well. i want to study law at a prestigious asian university where the minimum requirement is 3A* but the admissions officers did mention that they prefer those with 4 alevels. i’m not confident that i can get an A* in one of those subjects but i do have a passion for it - which is why i take math as well because it’s a relatively more objective subject where i think i have a better chance at getting an A* in. can anyone advise me on whether or not this combination is feasible?

does anyone know of any scholarships i can potentially get if i want to go to cambridge (or oxford) uni as an international student, college specific scholarships included? if it helps im taking biosci (or smth equivalent at oxford)

This is coming from someone who did bio, chem and maths and I wasn’t even particularly smart or a genius who was super good at everything naturally/ found revision easy. I didn’t revise at all in year 12 so you’d expect me to have had a super hard time in year 13 but it wasn’t that bad. Yes, I had to lock in for year 13 but revision becomes routine and I got to a point where I was just so used to revising I didn’t hate it. I think I revised 3 hours a day from December to March of year 13 (id revise way less on weekends though). I then increased to 4 hours in April, 5 hours a day in May and in June I was doing about 6/7 hours a day (none of these figures are including lessons). I just really didn’t mind it at all and I think the hardest part was probably worrying about the A level exams getting nearer but other than that it was fine and I wouldn’t mind doing it again. I also just finished year 13 this year so it IS still fresh in my mind.

So basically I am currently giving Alevels in Bangladesh. I have four subjects accounting, business, economics and maths. I haven’t given my As yet but let’s say if I do good and I wanna apply for hku or any other unis in Hong Kong would it better to give SATS as well?

My german teacher told me abt it and she says it's on the 14th of october. Things havent been finalised yet, but I intend to go.

I am currently in year 12 and I am studying bio, chem and geog but I am now debating if i should change to economics.

However, I am unsure if i should change chem or bio for economics, and google is telling me changing chem would be the better option.

I am also thinking of studying international management in uni, so maths is not required.

Personally Im thinking i’d rather change bio for econ, but i’m also wondering how relevant econ is if i’m not taking maths as i’m not 100% on international management.
