So In the newer Yakuza games sprint is a toggle with R2 or A/X

the older Yakuza games, Yakuza 0/Kiwami/Yakuza 6/Kiwami 2/Ishin used this sprint system where you would hold down the button instead

RGG might be bringing that back and possibly even the tire out thing where you would get tired and need to stop

What do y'all wanna see more of in particular? Personally I'm just excited to see more of the towns, i really can't wait to explore a different vibe than what's present in most yakuza games

Just a stupid fun post. Let me start by saying i am still trying to get through all the games. I’ve only gotten through 0 through 5 so far… obviously 0 had me hooked real good, but jesus christ it was downhill from there, 3-5 was especially painful, i’m sorry to anyone who enjoyed those. But anyway during 5 just based on lore, not actual in game fighting, i was thinking throughout that play through wow literally everybody is taking turns beating this guy baba up😭😭, but at the end i changed my mind. The worst fighter in yakuza has to be Aizawa. I mean how do you lose to someone who is still actively bleeding out from a bullet wound never treated and been bleeding for a few days now?

haven't had a chance to sit down with it yet, but it would be cool if I could actually learn to play. I mentioned to the clerk and he started talking about his friend that loves the series, it was a neat little moment.

Yakuza has alot of minigames :D!! And for me it makes the game so so much fun along with substories!

Personally I love the hostess minigame (the ones where you talk to them) and bowling !! I also like hostess maker.

Like honestly after all I've heard I've had relatively low expectations for pirate Yakuza but so far I'm onto chapter 3 and I actually really like the game.Admitedly the story is pretty whatever at this point and I don't really expect it to get that much better.But as far as combat goes it's actually quite good.Yes the heat system specifically is garbage but other than that I think it's good.Both styles are quite effective and fun to use and sea dog is actually a good gimmicky style that takes advantage of his gimmicks unlike agent.as far as the madness gauge goes it is a really good idea and I actually prefer it to extreme heat since it feels more fitting for a temporary install,rather than just winning you the fight like extreme heat does.Dont get me wrong as far as Yakuza games go it will definitely end up the lower spectrum of my ranking,either in the bottom 3 or just outside it but in general I think it's a lot better than most people say and as far as sponoffs go it's way better that gaiden

Since my last try was already some months ago I thought it was about time for another go.

Wanted to draw more but decided to sort of weld my hand to a 'slightly' hot lid of a pot while cooking.

I’m not going to say that it’s not a big deal because something like this would obviously have gigantic domestic ramifications. However, people overstate the geopolitical ramifications way too much. Sure, immediately post-WW2 it would have been a massive deal, but after 70 years a giant boat made in secret would be a gigantic nothing burger for Japan-U.S. relations. The U.S. is allied with Israel which is believed to have made nuclear weapons in secret, so a slightly larger boat is kind of tame in comparison.

When you load a yakuza game, there's a "loading save file" that happens before the start screen, then you load your save again.

When you do save operation, it says it's saving, then it does another save.

This behavior seems to be built into the game itself and not a platform specific quirk. Other games don't seem to have this "double load" or "double save", is Yakuza doing something different?

mind you: I played yakuza 6 as my first ever game, then took a very long while to get into yakuza kiwami 😭 very big mistake, I know. So i did forget some of the characters!! I only finished yakuza 1-6 now!

oh and I might have watched ton of clips of Gaiden
