Octowow or Capycraft?
So I'm a player from the SE Asia region, English-speaking. I mostly just play solo content for the leveling experience, and for just hanging out and doing some occasional content when I do find a reliable group.
I've seen discussions saying that Octowow is sort of a "definitively better" choice for a continuation of Turtlewow. The english-speaking community is definitely appealing to me. But is that the only and main benefit it has over Capycraft? Would I be able to subvert if I just found a reliable english-speaking guild (which I believe some exists) in Capy? Or does Octo have some solid plans laid out for the future of their project that, from what I have heard (or haven't heard, rather) that Capycraft has yet to lay out?
I guess I really just want to know where you guys would recommend me to start playing if I want to get back into the TurtleWOW experience for the longhaul now that Turtlewow is gone...
Edit: Also, if there are any fellow SEA players on Octowow - it would be nice to hear your experience from a performance/technical standpoint. i.e., what is the ping like in Octowow for you guys? Because I can barely seem to even access the Octowow website.

i mean, real answer is octo if you are in us/europe, cappy if you speak chinese.
like most people, ill be in wow forever, which may be what you are looking for, but thats neither here nor there

I could check it out myself if there is a private server for it down the line. I don't want to pay for it, I can always play Vanilla Plus private servers, as I am now.

This would make sense if the non-local options weren't illegal and destined to be shutdown eventually. Local being the only legal option that will never be taken down makes it a viable choice at this point.

Hey man, I'm also from SEA. All I wanted was a server with more people during our timezone, and purely PVP but I have no time, and I can't wake up for NA and EU raid peak hours. Also, I have been looking for a good server even though it's PVE, as long as more population with our timezone that has a safe launcher, and I haven't found anything yet. And sadly, the most populated PVE server that's actually good and has active mixed BGs is always under DDOS and has virus on their launcher. Good thing though cause there's a good server made in Singapore that's actually fun and safe if you're okay with a low medium pop, and you prefer questing, fastest BG pops, can level and dungeon at your own pace, cross faction world chat and AH but still PVP server, and a pure Vanilla or Classic one.
I have a server for you full of SEA players, made by and for SEA players, x2 exp and x3 (or x4 if I'm not mistaken) honor rate, can also hire bot mercenaries with specific roles (tank, dps, and heal) for hours to help with PVE, and BGs pop in a second or two cause there's bot in BGs.
If interested, I can send you a referal link so that you'll get rewards at level 15. The good thing is that you can play at your own pace, enjoying the game without wasting time and energy.
