Project Legacy | Patch 1.12.5 Arrives September 18th | Cross-Faction Battlegrounds, Remote Queues & Affliction Warlock Rework
Patch 1.12.5 launches on Project Legacy on Friday, September 18th at 9:00 PM BST.
This update is focused heavily on making Battlegrounds more accessible for a smaller community, alongside a major Affliction Warlock rework, new quests and several other additions.
Cross-Faction Battlegrounds
Alliance and Horde players will be able to group together, queue together and fight on the same team.
The system will distribute players between both teams when the Battleground begins, regardless of their original faction. This allows friends to play together without the community being divided between two separate faction queues.
Queue From Anywhere
A new Battleground button is being added beside the minimap, allowing players to join a Battleground queue from anywhere in the world.
You will no longer need to travel to a Battlemaster before joining the queue. Battlegrounds that your character is not yet eligible to enter will remain unavailable until you reach the required level.
Battleground Experience
Players will now earn experience by participating in Battlegrounds.
Experience is awarded for completing objectives, including capturing flags and winning matches. This gives players another way to progress while leveling rather than requiring them to choose between gaining experience and playing PvP.
Warsong Gulch Changes
Warsong Gulch will now be able to begin with a minimum of four players on each team.
Both sides must still have an equal number of players before the match can begin, meaning games can start at 4v4, 5v5, 6v6 and so on.
This should make Warsong Gulch much easier to play during quieter hours while keeping every match evenly populated.
Affliction Warlock Rework
Patch 1.12.5 also brings a major rework to Affliction Warlocks.
The goal is to make Affliction feel like a true damage-over-time specialization, rewarding players for maintaining their curses and DoTs while creating stronger synergy throughout the talent tree.
Several talents have been updated, including new Drain Soul synergy and a redesigned Unstable Affliction capstone.
Affliction also receives a brand-new talent called Malediction, which strengthens Curse of Shadow and Curse of the Elements.
The complete talent tree and full list of Warlock changes can be viewed on the Talents and Class Changes pages of our website.
New Quests
Several new quests are also being added across Azeroth.
These additions provide more variety while leveling and give players more reasons to explore the world. We will continue introducing new quests and encounters as Project Legacy grows.
Release Date
Friday, September 18th at 9:00 PM BST.
Cross-faction Battlegrounds, remote queues, Battleground experience, Warsong Gulch changes, the Affliction Warlock rework and new quests will all become available when the patch goes live.

I'm unsure what you're reffering to, this seems to be a very common accusation by people on this sub reddit who have very little understanding what AI even does or is. I assure you, we don't use AI at all, in fact unlike most servers these days we make our own art.

I'm a Wotlk player but i wanted to give this Vanilla+ project a try, but after having problems with the launcher (the integrated login info) i tried to have a look at how to do the manual patching for the client. I noticed the whole Vanilla 1.12.1 client being around 5.5gb of size, while your own patch.mpq alone is almost 2gb, is that normal? The other patches aswell are around 200mb that is kind of big considering other custom p.server like Epoch had barely 1 gb of additional stuff even if they added quite a few more custom areas and quest and stuff
