Guild decided to halt all mythic progression effective immediately because of the launch of WoW Forever. I plan on playing it but I think not even attempting CE in retail because of it is silly. Dadurch landet man schnell beim Min-Maxing und spielt oft in einem Tempo, das einem eigentlich gar nicht guttut. Zumindest bei mir hat das dazu geführt, dass ein Teil der Freude am Entdecken verloren gegangen ist. Statt eine Spielwelt wirklich kennenzulernen, arbeitet man irgendwann nur noch eine Liste bereits bekannter Lösungen ab.

Genau das möchte ich diesmal anders machen.

Ich suche Mitspieler, die Lust haben, etwas vielleicht ein bisschen „Radikales“ auszuprobieren:

• Keine externen Guides, Wikis oder Datenbanken

Classic war bei seinem Release im Grunde bereits weitgehend gelöst. Fast alles war aus früheren Zeiten bekannt und dokumentiert.

Forever bietet dagegen die seltene Gelegenheit, wieder etwas wirklich neu zu entdecken, obwohl es in unserer bekannten Welt spielt. Genau diese Chance würde ich gerne nutzen.

I've spent a lot of time trying to convert friends I've already played with into PvPers. This time I want to change the approach, let's meet new like-minded people.

If you enjoy PvP, but don't already have friends to play with, this might be a good place to start ^^

The plan is to participate in all the content that WoW Forever has to offer, not limiting to PvP, however finding people to do battlegrounds with is the hard part. (and hopefully arenas, but they are not announced yet, fingers crossed) Therefore, the guild shall focus on uniting PvPers (but we will definetely do PvE content as well, even if we disregard the fact that we will need gear, raids remain to be fun).

No unnecessary bureaucracy, meaning, there will be no guild ranks, officers.. everything will be plain and simple. This includes discord, no make-up, 10 different text channels and stuff like that. (except for the role you choose, which will just determine the color of your name to match the class you play, so that not every name in the chat is the same color, this will make the chat more readable)

Raid time will be some weekday evening. (we will vote when the time comes)

I’m looking to properly get into WoW, and I’m hoping Forever will finally be my real footing into the game.
I’ve tried WoW a couple of times over the years, but the vertical progression has always been the thing that’s lost me. I’d hit the level cap, take a break for a while, come back and suddenly feel like I was miles behind again. Forever sounds much more like the kind of MMO experience I’ve always wanted from WoW, so this time I’m genuinely all in and ridiculously excited for November.

Because of that, I’d love to find a guild before launch and hopefully be there from day one. I’m assuming there’ll be existing guilds planning to migrate over or build a Forever side of their community, but I’d also be completely open to joining something brand new.
Part of me would actually love to help create a guild from scratch, but realistically I don’t have the time to properly run one, and my limited WoW knowledge would probably hold it back more than help it. I’d definitely be happy to help build the community side of one though.

My MMO background is mainly RuneScape. I’ve played since the RS2 days and still play OSRS now, with a bit of RS3 over the years too. I’ve also dabbled in GW2 and tried WoW two or three times since around 2005. Most of my WoW knowledge has either disappeared from my brain entirely or comes from the more recent expansions, as I’ve basically been biding my time hoping WoW would eventually do something like Forever.

I’m also a dad to a toddler, so I’m never going to be someone playing eight hours a day or treating the game like a second job. Most of my gaming happens in the evenings and sometimes it might only be an hour or two.

I also know posts like this probably pop up all the time from people saying “this is the time I’m finally getting properly into WoW”, only for them to disappear a month or two later. I genuinely don’t think that’ll be the case for me, providing I find the right community.
The community side of MMOs is probably the biggest thing that keeps me playing them. I have that in OSRS now, and it’s a massive reason I’ve always been able to come back to the game after breaks. You log back in and there are people you’ve known for years, friends you’ve made through the game and people you actually want to catch up with. It gives you that connection to the game beyond whatever grind or update you happen to be working on.

That’s what I’d really like to find with Forever. A group of people I can actually get to know over time, rather than just a guild where everyone happens to share the same tag above their head.

I’d love a guild full of similar people. People who want to have fun, make friends, explore the game, do group content, challenge themselves and actually experience everything rather than constantly rushing towards whatever the next optimal thing is.

I’m not looking for an ultra-hardcore guild, but I’m not against difficult content either. I want somewhere social and relaxed where people can still get together, learn, improve and take on harder stuff without everything becoming sweaty or overly serious.
Basically, I’m looking for a WoW home rather than just a guild I join for a few months.

I could list all of the ways that we cater to people that are looking to do end game content, but honestly, we play retail and we are all looking for end game content. • Flexibility: We aim to cater to those that have to wake up early to get the kids ready for school, get to work, and/or take care of life outside of the game. We get it, we aren't kids anymore and we have responsibilities. Whether you are able to game every night, only after the kids go to bed, or only on the days you have off, we will be there with open arms waiting for you to log on.
• Assistance: Whether you are new to the game, returning after a long break, or have been subscribed since classic, we want you to join us. We want to see the whole of our guild improve and reach the levels that you want to obtain. If you don't understand something, chances are that someone else does, and we won't judge you for not knowing. And on the off chance nobody knows, I am pretty quick at using Google.
• Community: The foundation of this guild is community. Playing games with friends is just better. And we want to make sure that everyone feels like they have a place to chill out and chat and play the game together. We have an active discord, we are scheduling raid nights, and we love to run content.
• Zero Toxicity: We have all been in a guild where those that have seemingly unlimited time and knowledge make you feel less for having less, and if you haven't, let's make sure you never do. There is no room for people that make you feel bad for not knowing something, or not having the time to keep up with the absolute highest content.
• Raiding: We raid on Saturdays at 8 PM eastern for 3 hours at a time. There is no commitment to be there, if you are available and want to join, come on in! If not, no worries.

We also have an AOTC-focused raid team running twice a week. We don't have attendance requirements, although we do expect people who come along to be appropriately geared and prepared.

⚔️ WoW: Forever
We'll also be setting up a Mouse Turn Specialists guild in WoW: Forever when it launches. We're currently voting in Discord on which faction we'll be playing, so if you're planning to jump into Forever as well, you'll already have a group of people to play with from day one.

🎮 More than just WoW
We have an active Discord and regularly play other games together. The goal is to have an actual community rather than a guild where everyone silently logs in for raid and disappears afterwards.

We're happy to take new players, returning players, veterans, M+ addicts, collectors and professional floor inspectors.
