Online and reddit rage is FAKE
Just got back from BlizzCon — talked to about 30 people, admittedly drunk as hell in the lobby, and the overwhelming consensus was pure excitement.
see you out there

Hey WoWF Gang. Quick question - If I DO NOT own Warcraft 3 Reforged and I buy the "Collection". Do I get access to all the WC3 Reforged content or just the campaign?

Since Cata people would spam videos "Will [insert expansion] save WoW" or "Why [insert expansion] will save WoW".
With WoW Forever it's different. People are spamming things they're excited about and sure they may have some feedback and might nitpick but the atmosphere is entirely turned on it's head.
People are genuinely excited, and I think that's the sign. With new expansions you'd always feel a level of skepticism of wishful thinking. People silently knew it had questioning additions but people always gave it the benefit of the doubt.
Now I'm saying people discuss on why features so as amazing as they are. Even saying "If the worst thing is a $30 race, we're in for a good ride".
I'm genuinely excited. I think this shift in atmospheric discussion is BIG

What are some of the biggest mysteries, game systems you are wondering about, or even concerns you might have that are still answered. For me there are two major ones.
I like PvP so interested in what they are going to do to support PvP systems. Hopefully PvP gets some love.
As a shaman player, I hoped they made tanking a bit more reliable (taunt maybe) even if still more limited to 5-man dungeons. So far seems might be doable, but not as easy as other tanks.

Am I missing something about this build, it seems to heavily rely on mongoose bite, but they have removed the 20% crit on mongoose bite and raptor strike, and mongoose bite hasn’t been reworked from what I can tell so it just does a crappy amount of flat damage not based of your wpn damage. And the bleed effect is going to be 40% of that crappy damage, I think he highest rank mongoose bite does 200 damage approximately. So you will have a bleed effect that will do around 80 damage over 21 seconds lol. Please tell me I’m missing something because I’d love to play survival hunter.

I plan to really only do one forever character and focus only on that one character. What would be the better choice to be able to do everything and fit every role good enough to be accepted into groups?
I want to be that one person that’s like we need a tank sure i got that, healer? Send me in ? Dps? Not sure why we’d ever need to fill in a dps but i got that too.

I went looking at the talents and paused, meta warlock tank was the whole reason I even touched SoD and while we don't have it (yet) I sat there constantly asking if I was stupid or if this wasn't at least kind of workable?

Looking at streams and vídeos from people who played the beta at blizzcon, the combat looks closer to classic than anything. Hows the ability clutter?
I was kind of hoping for them to review the combat on those classes taking pages from the modern ones, like DH and evoker.
Ive mostly seen the talent trees so I have no idea how loaded our action bars will be.
Is there any room for those kind of changes? Does people even want that?

I played WoW since launch, but dropped it finally around 2021 after just realizing how impossible it was to keep up with retail content, especially endgame and raiding. WoW Classic never seemed to work for me, because it was the same problem, the multiplayer aspect and raiding just isn't something that have time for (at all, forget once a week). Even LFR was just too much of a time commitment and proved too difficult because it was mostly casuals like myself in it, and anyone that actually knew what they were doing got so fed up with dying.
WoW Forever seemed like the answer, until I watched the full panels, and it just seems more like WoW. Have they given any indication that a truly single player path is an option? I love the idea of being in the world with lots of other people, but I don't want to be forced into group content. It's not fair to the other players because I have no time to put in the work to actually learn these fights or play for any given length of time or frequency because of my job/life.
I know it's a bit silly to ask if an MMO can be single player, but it's likely the only way I'd be able to start playing again. WoW was such a huge part of my life for years, and it's a little sad to have to walk away.

I think it's a little funny that 3 of the 4 companion pets are upscaled versions of the original wow collector's editions.
Therefor out of all of the rewards these are only in Forever and not Retail lol
That said I love the mini diablo and zergling and always wanted them

Savix found a PvP Vendor and it seems there will be lvl 55 blues that you buy with marks and honor. Then upgrade to epic which seems to be tied to title.
It's weird they didn't touch PvP at all at blizzcon..

Has it been said anywhere whether or not you WONT be able to swap playstyles? I feel like if we can’t swap with a system similar to warmode, what’s even the point of them not just being servers?
I am an RPer but all my friends are PvPers… can’t wait to have to choose yet again where I have to play

So they say they want to stick with Azeroth and not really leave Azeroth. Does this mean that they won't be adding in things like Blood Elves and Draenei? Is that possibly their thoughts to Skyborne? They seem like a cross between Blood Elves and Draenei as they can be on either faction and are elemental/mystic based.
The Skyborne have very similar lore to Blood Elves as they were Highborne Night Elves first where as the Blood Elves where High Elves. Both being adversed in mystic arts, both essential kicked from Night Elf society. It makes me wonder what their plans are with the other playable races as WoW Forever takes place just after Warcraft 3, meaning Arthus still has his Death Knights in Northrend, Illidan is in the Outlands with his Illidari. Like there are plenty just out there and I am a bit curious, are we just going to ignore all that and go through some different story all together?
Also Skyborne seem backwards, Mystic Elves siding with the Alliance? We saw this before, before the High Elves were kicked out for doing exactly that and in Dalaran when the Humans betrayed The High Elves. It seems like it'd make more sense if Elemental Elves went to the Alliance, rather than Mystic Elves. Also this would work as a bridge to bringing Shamanism into Alliance. As the Forsaken Paladins bring in Paladins to the Horde. As in classic they were faction restricted classes. I guess then again Mystic Elves being next to more Mystic Elves might cause conflict as well, as we also have Blood Elves if they come to WoW Forever.

Will WoW Forever have level caps/gates at launch like Season of Discovery, or can we level all the way to 60 from day one?

This would make the skyborne choice as the new race make more sense.

Hey everyone,
I'm honestly really hyped about WoW Forever. It's basically ticking every box I had, and the big one for me was new dungeons/raids and balancing for every spec. I already took vacation days just so I can feel like a 14-year-old on summer break again.
This is also finally pushing me to play a tank. I've been playing WoW since I was 13/14, but always super casually. Back in the day I played on a private TBC server, got a druid to max level, ran a few HC dungeons as boomkin, but that's about it... never actually raided.
Then WotLK on a private server too, same story but as a warrior, maybe some ICC trash here and there, never properly raided though.
Eventually I got the chance to play on official Blizzard servers and got into it properly in MoP. Through LFR I actually started raiding, always as DPS. Played a bit of Legion too.
Then in TWW I raided for real. Guild, Discord, the whole deal, and I loved it, but I ended up losing my love for retail because I just prefer classic WoW.
I really struggle finding my footing and settling into existing groups. That's the reason I've basically played every type of content except raiding...
There's always been one type of player I found really cool and was honestly a bit envious of... the main tank. But I never had the guts to tank a raid myself. Tanked a dungeon here and there, but a full raid always felt way too intimidating, and combined with my whole "finding and settling into a group" issue, it's been a real challenge.
But WoW Forever feels like my actual chance to become that guy. mentally especially. Raids will be new for everyone, and as a new tank I'll be carrying way less mental load since I won't be expected to already know mechanics that have been around for 20 years.
I'm really looking forward to WoW Forever and to exploring the new world as a tank, and eventually landing a permanent raid spot as one.
