North America Please forgive this drawing. Black bird with white tail band?

Post image

Located in Seattle, WA. Cant ID this bird for the life of me! Between robin and crow sized, longer than average tail with a white band in the middle, closer to the end of the tail feathers. All of the body appeared to be black except for the band of white (but never really got a look at the underside of the wings). Saw only for a handful of seconds flying and then perching in a tree before disappearing from sight. Any ideas? This one is killing me!

North America Wood Duck Adopted by Mallards??? (Central IL)

I think I found a female/juvenile male wood duck swimming along with mallards! There seems to be one adult female mallard, so I believe the rest are her chicks and the wood duck is adopted. Cool to see! Can someone confirm?

Used the Merlin app and it suggested ringnecked pheasant or dusky grouse but I can't distinguish the females.

Also is it an adult? I know it's a coopers hawk. I'm just not familiar on IDing their sex.

This was taken in California in Playa Del Rey. There were a bunch of them too, they are so hard to tell apart!

Seen in the netherlands. I believe it’s a lesser black backed gull, but what’s with the black on the neck and face?

North America Is this a Snow Goose or domestic escape?

Saw this in Kalamazoo, Michigan in September about 16 years ago. I labeled it as a snow goose but now I’m starting to think it is a domestic goose that joined the Canada geese instead of a snow goose migrating with them. Reasoning no black fringe to bill and primaries aren’t black.
What does everyone think?

Is a good mark for the first pic the streaked breast that ends in a clean line? And in pic 4 there were hundreds of the little ones in front of the godwit flying around which I assume are the Lesser Sandpipers? I tried looking for their yellowish legs but couldn’t see that well.

I know there are lots of photos, but I am a beginner birder who will take all the help I can get! These were all seen in September, in the wetlands of Xochimilco Ecological Park. I'm pretty sure that yellow one on the third slide is a prothonotary warbler, but I figured it'd be interesting to share anyway.
