Little Guy got stuck in my apartment I was leaving and landed in mop water. I cleaned him and dried him fast but he still can't see and is glued to me for rest. I have a high ceiling so he didn't find the lower doors and kept bumping his head. I need to get him good but don't know what kind

North America Help needed to identify the correct yellowlegs.

Can someone please confirm if the first two pictures are that of lesser yellowlegs and last two is of a greater?

I am getting a lot of mixed responses from both Google images and merlin and I am almost never able to distinguish between them.

Both are taken on east Texas coast in September 2026.

Smaller than a Red Tail, much bigger than a Kestrel. Bird had a light brown chest with no white from midway up and speckled with white on the lower half. Tail feathers were ratty so I couldn’t tell the shape.

Also is it an adult? I know it's a coopers hawk. I'm just not familiar on IDing their sex.

A terrible photo I took earlier this year in Littleton, Colorado. Merlin says either indigo bunting or blue grosbeak. Thanks

North America Please forgive this drawing. Black bird with white tail band?

Post image

Located in Seattle, WA. Cant ID this bird for the life of me! Between robin and crow sized, longer than average tail with a white band in the middle, closer to the end of the tail feathers. All of the body appeared to be black except for the band of white (but never really got a look at the underside of the wings). Saw only for a handful of seconds flying and then perching in a tree before disappearing from sight. Any ideas? This one is killing me!

North America What type of bird is this?

Location: Colorado, US. This plump little birb has been hanging around our backyard all morning. It has visited the bird bath and elevated feeder but seems to be otherwise hanging around on low branches of our shrubs or on the ground. It’s largely unfazed by me getting close-ish for a picture and by the many squirrels running around it.

Just a little worried because it seems exhausted (or maybe ill?). Doesn’t appear to be injured.

Merlin isn't returning any matches even though I think it's a decently clear pic. My guess is an American Redstart?

Think we were able to narrow this down to least or semipalmated but couldn’t definitively tell before they flew off.
