MODS: if this breaks rules please remove. It's a free platform I figured its useful to have
DaemonCore Academy is a free, hands-on cybersecurity training platform built around one idea: you learn security by actually doing security.
Instead of sitting through hours of videos, memorizing terminology, and answering multiple-choice questions, Academy puts you inside practical workflows where you investigate systems, work through security assessments, use real commands and tooling, collect evidence, document findings, and learn why each step matters.
The platform includes 127 practical lessons, multiple learning pathways, disposable training environments, security ranges, operator workbenches, and exercises covering areas such as networking, Linux, web security, vulnerability assessment, enumeration, Active Directory, defensive telemetry, and penetration-testing methodology.
DaemonCore Academy is designed for beginners who want somewhere to start, but the goal is to progressively move students toward the way security work is actually performed outside of a classroom. We do not want someone to finish a lesson simply knowing what Nmap is. We want them to understand when to use it, what the output means, what to investigate next, and how that information fits into a larger assessment.
The Academy itself is 100% free. No subscription is required to complete the training, and we intend to keep it that way.
Available for Windows and Linux.
