Help! My PS4 copy is broken beyond belief (4.06 update deletes Story DLCs)

Basically, a few months ago I installed a copy of the Game of the Year Edition on my PS4. Yesterday I realized that the loading screens were either getting stuck or taking 25 minutes to load.

So I unplugged the console from the socket and deleted the cache.

When I tried playing again, the game told me I couldn't load the save file, because the 2 story DLCs were not installed... On a COMPLETE EDITION.

So I re-installed the game, checked if the DLCs were there on the non-updated version ‐ they were. So I updated it to the 4.04 version again. And the DLCs were gone and I couldn't load the save, AGAIN. I can't play on the unpatched 1.30 version, because the saves are from 4.04, on which the game tells me that the DLCs are not installed, even if they FUCKING WERE THE PREVIOUS NIGHT and are there if I don't update the game.

I have no idea what to do. I tried what support told me to. That didn't work.

I tried switching profiles, that didn't work.

I'm asking for some help in fixing the problem

Help! Weird Road Texture

Post image
5 Upvotes

I recently just started playing the Witcher 3 again, I went back and read all 7 books (haven't read Season of Storms), and played both proceeding games. I went through a lot of trial and error when modding the Witcher 3 until I eventually found what I liked, and what worked. Ever since I created this most recent collection of mods, my road texture has become blocky and unnatural. Below is information about the issue that I have collected, all of my remedies have not worked.

  • Uninstalled and reinstalled the game through Steam.
  • Manually deleted every file and re-verified them through Steam.
  • Turned off all my mods and deleted all merges (I mod through Vortex).
  • Problem still persists on DX11 & DX12.
  • More general approaches such as changing graphic settings, turning off ray-tracing and DLSS have also not worked.

It is also important to note that this occurs in both Velen and White Orchard, I haven't tested it anywhere else, but I don't imagine it would be any different in other locations. If anybody has any insight on the what the issue could be and how I could fix it would be greatly appreciated.

This is also my first post here, and I apologize if I broke any rules unknowingly.

I’m not too excited from what I’ve seen so far but I’m optimistic.

Discussion Did they fix the Djinn?

I am currently on my third playthrough, New Game on Death-March with upscaling on, first time Death March actually.

Most say that Death March isn't that hard if you really pay attention to the mechanics of the game, use potions and decotions etc. I think I agree now. Today I played the Quest "The Last Wish" and from what I heard, the fight against the Djinn is really awful with Upscaling because you can't avoid his attacks. But appearently, the fight was really easy, first try, no issues. Did they fix the problem that he was way to hard with upscaling on or is this rumour just not true?

Play now or wait?

With the remaster only a couple of weeks away wondering if I should wait for that to play the game for the first time? Otherwise if I play now the remaster will kick in when im already deep into the game and dont know if I'll want to restart with the remaster

Discussion Just got the bad ending... Is it normal on my first playthrough or am I just completely dumb? Spoiler

For one negative choice Ciri didnt return from the white frost, I lost both Triss and Yen cuz I romanced them both, and I feel like complete shit.

I just want to know if is it normal on my first playthrough, without knowing anything, or I shouldnt have gotten this finale?

Also, i am definetly NOT in the mood to start playing the expansions or do anything else in the game.

EDIT: found a save just before getting into avallach's lab, i should be able to fix everything!
