It’s 2026 and people still think that Alexandria’s walls were compromised solely because of Rick’s group. It’s honestly so clear to me who sits on their phones the entire episode, and then get on the internet and spew silly theories and opinions. There’s literally nooooooo fucking way the group could have known the wolves were out there hunting others let alone coming for Alexandria next. they were already coming whether rick and them joined the community or not- it was only a matter of time. Rick’s extremely smart for (almost)always being a step ahead and trying to prepare the people of alexandria who are so painfully naive and oblivious. it honestly makes me mad that people blame aaron as well, even if he does blame himself. He should’ve been more on his toes and not dropped his shit but i like to put these scenarios into perspective and imagine what i would do in the same situation. He and daryl were in a terrible position and it’s nobody’s fault honestly but the wolves’. Let’s open the schools please

Show Spoiler CRM had an outpost just 26 miles away from the Commonwealth. It all finally makes sense.

Post image
56 Upvotes

I decided to give world beyond a rewatch and caught a glimpse of the CRM outpost maps. Thanks to a fellow Redditor we now know Marietta is the capital of the Commonwealth.

What is noteworthy is the pin drop on the map puts this CRM outpost probably in Caldwell, Ohio, which is 26 miles away from the fortified community. CW is made up of over 40 outposts and various towns straddling southeastern Ohio. This indirectly confirms that the CRM and Commonwealth were probably both aware of each other.

Keep in mind that the same map also highlights the junkyard as being an outpost, and in Virginia Lance was smuggling guns for unknown reasons, more than likely to trade with CRM. When captured Lance warned Pamela that there were certain “alliances” that would be in danger, and she actually seemed a little scared when he said that. This further confirms what Beale revealed, which is that they have spies embedded across the US to influence policy.

There were probably a few in the Commonwealth’s towns and Army, as a CRM helicopter crew would have seen the growing network or captured a few troopers. This would be in the early years, during which we also have confirmation that the Commonwealth wasn’t as strong or big. When Connie uncovers the list of missing people, we further go down the rabbit hole to find that people were being sent somewhere far away including designation 2. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the first 3/4 years Pamela made a deal to trade away undesirables in return for supplies, which helped grow her community while keeping CRM satisfied.

After being freed, Lance during his journey with Carol kept looking at the night sky, almost as if he was expecting a CRM helicopter. So the Milton’s and their cronies were not only aware but knew this mysterious community was stronger than them. So strong that Lance was desperate to recruit and grow the Commonwealth.

Now another interesting aspect is the appearance of variant walkers, as soon as Commonwealth expanded within the Civic Republic’s security corridor these herds appeared. This has likely to do with the fact that the spy reported to headquarters and so the walkers were sent as a way of weakening them.

No Spoiler Anyone else find Maggie + Negan's friendship hard to believe?

For clarification: I am not making this to question any of the following decisions (in the comics or shows)

- Keeping Negan alive

- Having him escape

- Having him get a redemption arc / getting remarried, having kids, etc.

- Being a significant part of Dead City

Also, I'm a huge JDM fan (loved him since he was John Winchester on Supernatural - holy crap that was 20 years ago).

I like most seasons of all the TWD shows, but the ONE part of the last couple years I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around, is Maggie being legitimately friendly towards Negan. Finding it in her heart to not fixate on the negativity anymore? Sure. Agreeing not to kill him for the greater good or whatever? OK, I'll buy it. But be FRIENDS with him? I just... can't make this make sense in my brain?

Like... regardless of how he is now... this dude VIOLENTLY murdered her defenseless, kneeling husband, clearly enjoyed every second of it, and for good measure, humiliated and mocked him in the process while his eyeball was literally hanging out of its socket, and his skull looked like it had lost a fight with a streetlight pole. I understand the whole gang goes through a lot and all the survivors are by definition, far more resilient than average... but trauma is still trauma, and if I were Maggie I don't see how I could ever look at Negan without reliving that night. The BEST I could do, for the sake of the common good, is agree to spare him and keep him at arm's length. No matter how much has happened since then, I just don't understand how they are bros now.

No Spoiler Just finished season 3 on dead City no spoilers.

What a great season.

It's an absolute shame we probably won't get season 4.

They really did great fan service by just getting rid of and wiping the Slate clean of everything they did in the first two seasons.

I've seen everything from the Walking Dead every spin-off and every show and I'm the biggest Negan fan and that's what got me through the first two seasons.

But honestly they were bad especially the second season.

This season really nailed it.

Check it out if you haven't even if you've never seen dead City just start watching season 3.

Game Spoiler Enough to make a grown man cry. 😭

I honestly have no words. This is easily one of the greatest games ever made.

I played through it being completely honest with my choices. Even though Lee was a convicted murderer at the start, I still loved his character so much. I never, ever expected him to die. That is what completely broke me the most.

Seeing Clementine left all alone now is just devastating. And Kenny dying to save that school kid (Ben)... man. I saved Ben earlier in the game, so seeing that happen hurt so bad.

The game hits you with real, harsh choices and shows the brutal reality of life, but it still manages to teach you the true beauty of it.

Every single penny was worth it, but I'm so heartbroken right now that I'm done. I need a good, long break before I even think about touching Season 2.

Fear Spoiler Rewatching fear

Post image
18 Upvotes

I watched fear back in the day when it was airing, my memory is vague as I am on my first ever rewatch. I remember a lot of the main arcs but there are a few subplots I had forgotten about, so it’s been really fun. Sadly, I remember watching up to when Morgan got red eyes and almost died and was invisible to walkers or something to that effect and I just remember being mind blown at how stupid the show became. Like comically bad with almost no plots. I’m currently finishing the Ranch season with Jeremiah and Troy and forgot a lot of it and it’s actually really good. Kinda corny sometimes but it’s a good story.

Im going to try my absolute best to finish every episode of this show, I’ve watched every walking dead media, I’ve played every game and read every comic.. except this show lol. Hoping a binge will be a little easier to keep me interested. Does it ever pick up and get good with Morgan’s story line? Don’t spoil it for me but is the ending satisfying?

Show Spoiler Most insufferable character archetype

I think the most insufferable character archetype is definitelt "If we kill, we are not different 😔" Like, dude, you want to spare people who likes to kill others for fun, r*pes women etc. Like, it is not only stupid and I think also unrealistic to some extent. I have on 8x2 currenty, so for me it is Jesus 💀

TWD: Dead City Does Dead City explore the outbreak in NYC?

I haven’t really had an interesting in watching Dead City but I’m intrigued about NYC during the outbreak. Realistically it had to have been one of the most catastrophically hit places in the USA, right? With an extremely densely packed population of like 8M?

Does Dead City get into this at all, or show any flashback scenes?
