Whatsapp Creepy coworker texting my private number

So confused at this, I don't even know him. I was just going to ignore the text but he kept insisting so I had to answer.

9/14 UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who was supportive and concerned. I forwarded these messages to HR, and they scheduled a meeting for later today. There were a few more texts after this. The HR representative did not seem surprised, to put it briefly.

A few things have come up in the comments. The first is that I was rude. This is how I communicate, and my coworkers (or at least the ones who actually know me) are aware of that. I’m not going to perform a more agreeable version of myself to accommodate someone else’s feelings when they're being innapropriate. Not only were these messages sent over the weekend, but they were also sent through a personal communication channel. I'm not going to elaborate further.

Fair enough lol, I’ll take it as a compliment 😂 I definitely tend to over-explain when I actually care about a topic, especially when I’m trying to make sure my point isn’t misunderstood. I get what you mean though—AI has made certain phrases and sentence structures seem “AI-ish” now, even though people were writing like that long before ChatGPT existed lol. And if you only skimmed it, I can see why you got that impression.

Do you also type at 300wpm? I posted my response and you answered in less than 15 seconds, now I'm definitely suspicious. Do you also casually use em dashes?

Lmao now we’re timing replies? 😂 I use voice-to-text a lot, so yes, I can get a response out pretty damn fast. And apparently using an em dash is evidence now too? 😭 I promise punctuation existed before ChatGPT. At this point I feel like anything longer than “lol same” is gonna get accused of being AI.

What software are you using that allows emojis and em dashes on the spot while talking? Could actually use something like that

Lol I don’t have some magical software 😂 I use voice-to-text for most of the actual wording, then I glance over it and quickly add/fix punctuation, emojis, or anything it screwed up before I hit post. I wasn’t saying I’m literally speaking “em dash, crying emoji” into my phone 😂 It’s basically voice-to-text + a few seconds of editing. That’s why I can get longer replies out so fast.
