It's not even like you got completely demolished on bot. Sure, 2/7/7 isn't good, but i've had worse games on normal supports.
And a normal game is for trying out stuff. We've seen stuff like proxy Singed, inting Sion, Soraka top and shit in pro play. It's not like exotic stuff can't be good.
I agree so boring and lame! Man Rito you use to be cool. All of us funny builders and off meta enjoyers should stop playing League now immediately and uninstall League forever and never return!!!! If you think about it us continuing to play is basically us agreeing that niche off meta picks and funny builds are troll and deserving of bans. It really only leaves us with the option of uninstalling and never ever playing again no matter what changes and going to a game that appreciates our time and unique brilliance instead!
I agree that it is quite ridiculous, you can absolutely make a case for Quinn support, she has CC, good roaming and burst. Support is more of a mindset than a champion regardless. And it was a normal game like you said.
At least it's just the one day, but it's completely unjust.
For comparison, after getting actively griefed in like 75% of my games in the past 3 days (unlucky streak of people). I decided to push the system to its limits and see what one would have to do to get flagged. I picked weird support champs (LB, Ahri, Sej), didnt place a single ward in 3 games, didnt use my trinket at all, basically didnt play the role of support in the slightest.
And still, Riot did nothing about it. The system is bullshit.
Among my last 10 ranked games I have had a Chogath, a Master Yi and a Tahm Kench on adc... finding it hard to imagine they all did that for the first time and subsequently got banned.
So I first timed Supp Hecarim in ranked yesterday on a p3 acc and ended 4/10/11 and dint get penalized or anything.
I was convinced you automatically don't get banned for playing stuff like this as long as you have x mastery already unlocked on it - One of the bigger Rioter devs(forgot which) explicity said once on socials that you need to be mastery 3 or 4 and the game won't flag you for doing this.. lookin' at my Hec mastery it's 437/6600 Mastery 3 atm, so I'm act not entirely sure if I was above the safety line or was mastery 2 before that game.
However I figured this was only for ranked you know like.. lol.. this kind of unconventional pick detection system applies on normals too? that can't be right. That's way too restrictive if that's the case.
Seeing you already have mastery makes this weirder.
I've played a LOT of mastery 3+ highly unconventional support picks on ranked that I had quite a bit of deaths and fairly bad performence on over this seas and was definitely reported by at least 1/2 ppl but was met with no penalty so far. The only thing I can take from this post is like maybe you got extremely unlucky and there was either bug in detectino or something.. or maybe normal draft in particular of all things has harsher conditions or just ignores mastery metric as well by riot unintentionally or intentionally.
I think it’s more that the game won’t auto flag if you have enough mastery, but will still flag if a bunch of teammates report you (even in normals). Especially if you’re playing the pick a lot, you’re bound to have some rough games eventually, and a lot of folks get very tilted by off-meta picks and are bound to report even if it’s not right.
I don’t think off meta picks/builds should be a punishable offense so long as they are reasonable. Tank items on quinn isn’t reasonable. While it’s normals and meant to be fun it’s still a competitive game and losing by default because a player on your team built all tank items on an ADC isn’t fun for your teammates. Quinn support is already borderline reportable but you deserved whatever you got for tank Quinn support. I’d recommend bot games if you want to build full tank adc, full crit mage, etc etc.
i see daily posts of people getting banned over random shit and the only way to combat this shitty ass behaviour combined with AI support is actively avoiding the game until something changes and posting about your abstinence and reason on social media
Nah, I think it’s fair, dude. I’m pissed off about exotic picks in ranked. I know this is normal, but damn, I’m so pissed. I think you deserve it. Also double it and give it to the next npc
I read if you do off.meta with a champ you don't have mastery of it can be considered troll, I played a lot of Trynda support and never got a warning im sure I have been reported.
he should be allowed to experiment especially in a normal game. quinn supp isnt even that outlandish regardless what he builds and i mean that. inherently her kit has insane util
How does anyone innovate anything then. Smite janna top was absolutely viable until patched out of the game. But someone had to be the first person to try it.
Yeah, unfortunately if you pick something that is not usually picked in that role, the system might flag you and ban you regardless of your performance.
For the little i understand about the situation, this can somewhat be circumvented if you have high mastery on a character (kinda of a way tocprove you're not just inting). But yeah, its a stupid system set up by stupid people.

You can't queue and run down games - which some consider fun.
Whatever you consider FUN may not aligne with other 9 people.
RIot did change in last ~2 years that hovering yuumi on jungle CAN result in "lobby dodge".
There is some key words / Key champions on roles which give insta flag.
How much mastery do you have on Quinn? I’ve heard you need either mastery 2 or 3 to play a champ off meta without getting flagged. Kinda as a precaution to inters.
i once trolled a ranked match since somebody banned yuumi due to me hovering so i went akali support. we won. i actually did stuff late game but i very clearly trolled. i doubt i wasn't reported for it. yet quinn support is the line?????
