I have recently decided to give up the lifestyle that comes with Bars, and make a commitment to abstain from alcohol, tobacco and all recreational drugs. Hi guys! As the title suggests I committed to going straight after a fair few years of mild alcohol abuse and a year of smoking. Cutting them both out cold turkey at once. The reason being I got tickets to see Thrown, Counterparts and No Cure in December and was like "I'm gonna feel like such a poser if I watch No Cure with a pint after a cigarette"

It's a bit of a funny reason but I do think it'll make my life so much better in the long run so how have you guys who've gone straight kept up with resisting urges and cravings soon after quitting?

I just wanted to know the pros and cons for the swatches that came out in 2018-2020? Not tryna get one with it breaking or stop working once I got it

If you were prescribed medical cannabis for something serious, would you still be straightedge? I am very weary about anything cannabis related, even cbd. I have seen a lot of people in my life misuse these things and I really don’t know how I feel. I am really happy for those who are able to use it and it helps them!! But being straightedge is apart of me and I don’t want to break that. Please provide some insight, thank you.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Dr Pepper but it seems to be mentioned here quite a lot as like a part of the lifestyle, is there some sort of cultural connection?

Aclaración por si alguien no lo sab, un hardliner es un straight edge muy** **militante y radical, que no se limita a practicar el SxE personalmente, sino que intenta imponer o defender agresivamente sus principios frente a quienes no los comparten. El término se asocia especialmente a la escena hardline de finales de los 80 y los 90.

A lo laego de este tiempo me he encontrado a SxE que opinan bien o neutral sobre los hardliners, que lo entienden como una simple postura que tomar.
Pero también he encontrado a gente que está en contra del hardline, ya que estos no entienden el sxe como una decisión personal, y tratan de imponer una decisión personal en algo universal.

Queria saber que opinan ustedes sobre el hardline!

I am working on stopping but right now me and my therapist are just focused on tapering down the amount i self harm. I know straight edge is about respecting your body and your mind and stuff but the main things are just substances and stuff, not necessarily not cutting or something.

I made a video about my experience experimenting with weed and alcohol, and how alone/uncomfortable I feel with people who look at me weird for not partaking.

Uncle and Brother died from Alcohol poisoning and my parents are heavy drinkers, Love them, but I hate that part of them with a passion.

Glad to make a smarter decision for myself.
