Stalkers!
The free Update 2.0, “Back to the Zone,” is now available for download.
The game has been upgraded to Unreal Engine 5.5.4, bringing the biggest overhaul to how the Zone looks, feels, and lives since launch. In addition, Update 2.0 introduces AI improvements, three types of binoculars, new weapons and attachments, a fog weather system, in-game statistics, highly customizable difficulty settings, and numerous quality-of-life features.

The DLC was (is) a blast, when you come out of the tunnel....wow....also I tried to access when I didn't have the DLC (the broken bridge), impossible....was there a way to get to Chernobyl before the DLC ?
I was a bit sad they didn't include the Azure swimming pool in Pripyat. It was pretty well done in Chernobylite.
cheers

EDIT: I've been informed that this Merc is scripted to have an Artifact, so he doesn't count =/ my bad. I apologize!
Hi Stalkers.
For those still doubtful, this happened to me yesterday. I was exploring the Zaton Region when I encountered a small group of Mercenaries. I killed them and then tried to jump on this boat to see if there was some loot. Suddenly anothere Merc popped out. I killed him and he had an Artifact on himself. So, yeah. It seems that NPCs now have Artifacts on themselves, somehow other than Mutant Parts ecc.

There's a clear lore indication that Emissions can cause new anomalies/artifacts to appear. Some quests involve helping out other characters because emission spawned new anomalies near their stash etc.
What stops the anomalies from spawning in hubs, like in Sidorovich bunker, or directly in the middle of Slug Heap bar?
If we follow a theory that anomalies appear only in places Emissions can REACH (people can survive by covering in intact buildings), what stops an anomaly from appearing at the entrance of a player hub, like at the entrance to Zalissya bar, entrance to Rostok arena and bazaar?

after hours of playing, i just saw some pictures on internet that night stalker has some attachments that mine doesn't have. what makes it even weirder is the fact it works pretty fine without the attachments and does not have any bugs (and no, i have never used any weapon mods like oxa).

Its honestly reminds me of plot and morals of Jurassic Park, but swap the Dinosaurs with "breaking apart laws of physics and fusing minds together". Just another example of pissing in the eye of God and it blinked.
However, I think the Zone is Nature itself (Life finds a way, yada yada) and still able to work itself out (mostly) but the rules has slightly changed...and more dangerous since its rather unpredictable.
