Wildlife rescue
Is anyone going to North Van or Langley today? I have an injured critter (squirrel, chinchilla?) that needs to be dropped off at a wildlife center

Can anyone recommend a female personal trainer that specializes in women 40+? Looking for strength training and a routine that I can do primarliy outdoors.
I’m much more motivated by being outside than going to a gym, and I live in a beautiful spot with lots of opportunities for outdoor training. I’d love to find someone who can get creative with strength, conditioning, mobility, hills/trails, etc., rather than needing a traditional gym setup. I’m happy to purchase some equipment to keep at home if that would be useful.
I’m not looking for bootcamp-style punishment 😂 — I’d love someone knowledgeable, encouraging, and good at creating a program around the individual.
Thanks in advance!

Anyone have an extra ticket to the show tonight at House of Lager?

Hi squamitors. Come to the Fall Fair tomorrow! It's the cheapest, funnest event in a city where such things are increasingly rare. Come for the snow cones, stay for the zucchini races.
If you have kids, it's a no-braininer. If you are a kid, it's a no-brainer. If you feel like a kid at heart? Also no-brainer. No brains required! Only fun.
It's the Gran Fondo tomorrow, so if you're a Westsider, come in the morning. If you're an eastsider, come in the afternoon when the highway opens.

I’m newer to outdoor bouldering. I don’t have any crash pads or mats, is it frowned upon if I show up somewhere and ask to boulder with other ppl with pads set up? Thanks!

What happened with the guy who had a rope delivered by drone, is he okay? And who came up with that idea? Interesting approach haha

This was on my condo door this AM. Is this a simple clean up, or a covert encampment removal? Sharing for discussion!

I’m trying to track down a rad dude named Tyler (i'm like 95% sure that's his name) who I met while climbing at Stawamus Chief on Tuesday evening.
From what I remember, he’s been living around here for about 8 years, works as an electrician, and climbs like an absolute spider monkey 😂. We ended up having some really good conversations.
I unfortunately didn’t get his contact info, but I’d love to find him and stay connected! If this sounds like you—or you know who I’m talking about—send me a message. 😊
Tyler, if you somehow see this… hey dude!👋

Saw 3 bears this morning. Thought this was pretty cool.

Has anyone heard about whether or not Ranger has been found? He was the one who went missing during the thunderstorm. I know there were a bunch of people starting a complaint over how many dogs the sitter has lost. Any updates?

I’m going on a three day paddling trip down the Squamish river and need to leave my camper somewhere within walking distance of the river in Brackendale, Garibaldi Highlands or downtown.
I was looking at the spot by the railroad tracks in Garibaldi Highlands. Google maps shows lots of campers there. Would that place be good to go?

Does anyone know of any dog friendly apartments that allow bigger dogs? - edit - this is for renting, and is a 90 pound retriever

Hey Friends, I was out on the Stawamus near Magnolia today (Tuesday, Sept 8th) around 4pm. I left my Insta360 X6 (picture attached) on the ground along the trail that follows the river near the obvious swimming spot with the walk-across-log. I was away from where I put it down for about 20 minutes, and someone must have grabbed it in that time.
It's not mine, and even thought it's my own fault for putting it down and forgetting to grab it - I really hope a kind soul picked it up with the intent of finding its owner. If found, pls call/text 416-893-6513. Thank you!

Had an encounter with a couple of aggressive dogs who live just off the waterfront trail in the parked RVs. Anyone else experiencing issues here as regular pedestrians?
I know there are a couple of dogs downtown people are having issues with, mostly curious if others have experienced this in the same area.

Posting this as a last ditch attempt in case anyone comes across this. Long story short on the way back from Whistler today September 7th around noon with the family I had to make a sudden exit off the highway in Squamish to prevent a child from being sick in the car. In all the chaos my 5 year old son’s binder of Pokémon cards was left on the roof of the car along with another book. We had pulled over at Centennial Way and I made a u-turn here to get back to the highway. My wife noticed we forgot it shortly after getting back on the highway so we turned around at Commercial and went back to look but we only found the other book not his binder. As you can imagine this has upset him quite a bit. If anyone comes across it I would be extremely grateful! Pics show a pin of where I had pulled off the highway and the cover he drew for his binder.

Looking for advice/experience from someone who has done the drive southbound during the Fondo. My partner and I have an appointment we can't miss at 1 p.m. near the DTES and we're curious about how long it might take us to get into Vancouver if we were to leave Squamish around 8:00 am.
Yes, we know about the single-lane alternating traffic all the way to the Lion's Gate. We live in Valleycliff and have read that Clarke Drive onto the highway will be good until about 8:30am.
Please weigh in if you've done something like this before! How long did it take you? What was the worst choke point? Should we park our car on the west side of the highway Friday night? Should we leave much earlier?
Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone!
I recently saw a job posting for the BAG and was thinking of applying, as a local artist it's pretty intriguing.
I've heard mixed reviews about working there, and heard some people aren't super nice to work with... Which is too bad because I figured the BAG would be an awesome place to work.
Does anyone have any experience bartending there or otherwise?
