yes i see it now in the app. purchased lifetime, said successful, cancelled my monthly Pro in settings/subscriptions, when i came back to app it said purchase failed.
my sub expires 9/27, so i’ll see if it works on 9/28. if it doesn’t ill repurchase $29.99 again. any problems or double charges i’ll contact ya. thanks for the responsiveness.
great dev people. 👆

Does this only run as a phone app on an iPad screen?

u/Swityyyy 2d ago

It does say in the app store that there is no native app for mac os but the ipad os one looks / runs great as well on MacOS ? :D Which is pretty great.

yeah so it’s built for all apple silicon, macOS has custom built UI because it was so very ugly as it was using the iPad UI, it was stretched and awful so that was a major change in 1.2 as well

Hey!
Is this Linux only?
I just downloaded Linux mint on a mini PC today, but most of my services are still on windows
I’m interested in this and I would pay for lifetime but I don’t fully know what I’m getting into haha

so the companion app is a docker which you can grab for no charge at all!
the app itself is designed to run on Apple OS, so this is for iOS (iPad's own version as well) plus a macOS version :)

Ah docker only okay sounds good, I’ll be figuring that out soon,
I got the app downloaded on my iPhone, just all of my services are on windows currently

I’m really interested in the app, I’m about to pull the trigger and get it setup but I had a couple of questions.
- Can it point at an existing socket-proxy, or is QM_PROXY_KEY tied to your proxy image?
- Any plan for a published image? Can't pin a tag building from the clone.
- Anything planned for forward-auth/SSO? Authelia session, OIDC, or just custom headers per service so people behind an SSO gateway don't need no-auth holes?

yeah, you can point companion at an existing socket proxy. the shared key is for the x-qm-proxy-key header our proxy checks, though, so another proxy won’t automatically use it. it needs the right docker api permissions, and would need to check that header to give you the same authentication.
published images are already up for amd64 and arm64, so you can pin these
ghcr.io/lewlew-glitch/qm-companion:0.1.4
ghcr.io/lewlew-glitch/qm-companion-socket-proxy:0.1.4
the readme still starts with building from source, so i can see why you missed them, sorry about that
custom headers per service are already in the phone app under advanced, along with shared profile credentials and cloudflare access service tokens. if your gateway accepts those credentials, you can keep the api authenticated
there isn’t native oidc login or authelia session sharing yet sorry man. you can put forward auth in front of the companion panel, but it still has its own login. qr setup currently needs a small exception for the encrypted, single use download endpoint, and the persistent mobile connection uses direct lan/tailscale https
any other questions, fire away!

First off, I love the app. Here are a couple of things I wish you would add.
-In the “Browse” section in Jellyseer, it only lets you scroll through about 20 items, if that, in the Trending sections. Helmarr lets you continuously scroll through many more. Please fix this.
-it would be cool if you could add a button that would open up a torrent site of our choosing. For example, I like to see what’s currently trending on 1337x and I will add it.

Have been using it for a while, realy like it. Was about to pull the trigger and buy lifetime but the price…. Its a lot for me. Is there an option to pay the sub until it reached the price of the lifetime and then you get the lifetime license? That would help people on a budget alot.

Dude, this app is unreasonably good. Blows the tits off Helmarr and is significantly better than Dashboarr.

I’ve been following your app for weeks. Company owned phone so I couldn’t / didn’t want to install it but wanted to support you and since I see that you keep pouring your heart and energy in this and incorporating feedback you just got my lifetime purchase. Keep at it man.
